So hopefully I don't need to be induced but I've just booked my 41 weeks appointment for next week, which is on the Wednesday. I'll be 41 +3 that day and my 12 days over will be the Friday 6th. Would it be too short notice to book my induction 2 days before?

They tried to tell me I’d need to be induced at 12 days over too, but I didn’t want an induction. You don’t have to have one.. I told them I would have monitoring but if there was no issue, my baby just wasn’t ready yet and could stay put until they were.

40 weeks isn’t a magic number that applies to everyone, so if you don’t want to evict your baby before they’re ready, you don’t have to.

My first induction wasn’t booked until I was 42 weeks because the area policy was 14 days exactly over.

I’m on again today for induction on this pregnancy which was booked Saturday for reduced movements. If they need to get you induced they can make it happen at short notice.

Hopefully you won’t need it! X

Okay thanks, I'm hoping she arrives sooner but it got me panicked because even the thought of going 12 days over due is driving me mad. I've had false Labour pains since last Friday and it's been a very rough pregnancy. I know I'm only 1 day over but I just want to hold my daughter and not be pregnant 😂
