Do I need a Moses basket?

Hi all
Just starting to get bits and bobs for my baby due in november.
I have bought a silver cross pioneer pram that has a carrycot attachment. Does anybody know if I can use this for daytime naps while downstairs at home or should I get a Moses basket for downstairs?

If I can use the carrycot for naps, is there a stand I can buy that it will fit on (silver cross don't seem to have one but was wondering if it would fit on any Moses basket stand)

TIA

I never bought a moses basket with either of mine. Anytime they were in the carrycot I just left it attached to the buggy. It's quite convenient if you suddenly need to pop out!

I use my carry cot for downstairs naps. I just dont have the space or money to waste especially because my baby lasted about 4 weeks in his Moses basket

I used to bring Moses basket downstairs in the day (or get dh to bring it down when I couldn't) but otherwise I'd leave attached rather on a separate stand

I love ours. Both my babies slept in them beside our bed for the first 5 months. Very, very, very cheap compared to other options!

We use Moses basket upstairs and down in living room. Our bedroom 9ne is 40yrs old that hubby slept in and downstairs is a brilliant wee charity shop find.

We use our silver cross pram too.

My only concern would be carry cots do not allow for air flow in the way a wicker Moses basket does.

I would check the particular model of your carry cot and see if it's recommended for use for sleeping for longer regular naps/ sleeps in the house as not all are.

Only some carry cots are suitable for this (Uppababy and Bugaboo). Read the info on the Silvercross website it is says it is suitable for overnight sleeping then it is fine. Otherwise no.
