Don't think I have enough newborn clothes?

All clothes of baby's are washed and in wardrobe and looking at it I have a lot more 0-3 than newborn 🤦🏻‍♀️ And starting to worry that's there's not enough.. so how long roughly are baby's in newborn clothes for ? As I really don't want to go buy more newborn sizes as I'm starting on 3-6 ( like to be prepared) baby weighs roughly 6lbs8ounces and due in 3 weeks

you need a lot less than you think you will in my experience... it is the 0-3 you end up needing a lot more!
There were loads of newborn clothes that my DS never wore at all and many more only once!
They grow very very fast at that stage.

People on MN are always so judgy about outfits for babies! I really don't see the difference between vest and leggings/soft dungarees and sleepsuits in terms of comfort or hassle. Fair enough, denim or other stiff fabrics aren't going to be comfy for someone who spends much of their life lying down, but the world of baby clothes isn't split into comfy sleepsuits and torturous jeans and collared shirts.
In terms of size, my 11lb baby went straight into 0-3 whereas my 9lb one got 3 or 4 weeks out of newborn.

I wouldn't buy too many, I haven't. If you go two weeks over baby will obviously weigh more and even if they aren't heavy they can be long etc. A friend of mine ended up having to cut all the feet off of her newborn baby grows to fit her 7lb daughter in them!

Not judgy, just don’t think they’re necessary! The OP was worried she didn’t have enough outfits but says she has enough sleepsuits. I was just saying if you’ve got enough sleepsuits then no need to worry as that’s perfectly sufficient. No point worrying about a lack of outfits.

I wouldn't be bothered about outfits for a newborn either. My DS lived in sleepsuits or rompers until he was almost one. Babies look cutest in sleepsuits!

I don't think people are judging, just expressing preference and experience! If you dress your baby in lovely outfits (and there are some lovely cute ones!) then you're a more patient woman than me! My sausage fingers can just about manage sleep suit poppers Grin

Baby bump was 9lb 5oz.... she just fit in to the baby grows I bought for hospital.. happy I didn't go crazy (bought 10 body suits and 6 sleep suits) X
