Hi ladies.
Anyone suffering with really swollen feet? Is this excessive?
I do have to stand up nearly all day, often all day and often without a break and I'll continue to do so till I'm 38 weeks although the last 8 weeks of that I've cut my hours to 6.5 a day and only 4 days a week.
Thank god it's flip flop season! Some days I'm having to wear no shoes at work tho!

Compression socks will help a lot. But check with Midwife if it's a new thing.

I suppose I could just wear those at work and no sandals.
It's not really new it's just progressively getting worse. In the first instance my hubby noticed befor I did.
He calls me professor clump.

I went up 2 shoe sizes with DD1. Check with your midwife but she'll probably tell you to keep them elevated as much as poss. & don't assume they'll magically go back to normal after you give birth. DH brought me in pre-pregnancy shoes to go home in & I ended up having to leave hospital in my slippers.

Have you had your blood pressure checked? Make sure midwives/ doctors are aware, it might need medical attention.

Agree with Delphinium that you should check it out with your midwife- best not to self diagnose/ assume all pregnancy related symptoms are normal in my experience (although obviously most are fine).

Could be too much standing, is there anyway your work can let you sit or take more breaks? If that's all it is you need to rest your feet higher than your hips sometimes, and roll your ankles to give the circulation a boost. Heat tends to make it worse I think. I used to stick my feet in really really cold water after standing all day, always used to make them feel better. As others have said though, can't hurt to check with the midwife too.
