Overweight and pregnant rant

I was a size 18 when I got pregnant. I am now much bigger (25+4) than I was pre-pregnancy - I've been in maternity trousers since 16 weeks. However, I have a B bump and to people who don't know I don't obviously look pregnant, just pot-bellied. I'm starting to find the daily comments of people who hadn't realised I am pregnant or assume I am only 12 weeks or so a bit upsetting. I really wasn't this fat 3 months ago, but I feel it would make things awkward if I said that. Not sure what I want from this thread. I think I'm just a bit disappointed that I feel I look noticeably different, but other people seem to think I've gained wait. I never knew being assumed to be fat when you're pregnant stings as much as being assumed to be pregnant when you're fatSad

Bump @25+5

I am allowed to lamp people now, right?Grin

I think I'm carrying high, as the top of the B sticks out further than the bottom.

You absolutely look pregnant, honestly you do!

Your bump may still be slightly B shaped but it has the definition of a bump.

NoNotheresnolyrics · 21/06/2018 08:22

You’ve got a beautiful bump 😊 congratulations 💐

I just looked fat until I was about 26/27 weeks pregnant when it started to look like a bump rather than just fat.

I don't tend to bother with other people's opinions. I am size 16 and always had a stomach and always been obese. When I told collegues/friends/family they said we thought your belly looked bigger at the bottom which never offended me just means I have a healthy growing baby. People who didn't realise I see as just not being important enough to tell.

Try not to expect people to know as majority of people will be too scared to ask in case they offend.

@mhcb please can I have some of your attitudeGrin

Thanks for the compliments! Bump has gone back to a B today, I think it was partly bloating yesterday, but we'll get thereSmile
