Soreness after walking

Sorry, bit of a boring post, but could use some advice as I walk a lot. Am 29 weeks and have found that after walking the dog for about 45 mins or so, I've started to get a sore feeling, like a strong ache, across my lower womb. I know that's prob my body's way of saying take a rest, and I do - but I'm really enjoying it and would hate to have to give it up. Just wanted to check it's not a sign that something's up.

Any ideas of how long I can continously and safely walk for at this stage and beyond? I'd always thought that walking was v good when pregnant. I don't march, but keep up a reasonable pace. I've only started to get the pains over the last week.

I think that as long as the pains subsides when you rest there's no harm done. Exercise is good but I think in moderation - and it depends on how much you did before pregnancy. I've found that slowing down my walking rather than reducing the length has helped - I don't get the pains anymore and I'm 32 weeks.

Hello,
I used to get these pains after walking when I was pregnant. I used to do a reasonably brisk walk of about 30-45 mins every morning right up until my DS was born. I think it helped get him down and into the right position for birth.
I did stop and go home for a good rest if I got the achy feeling after a walk as I also thought it was my body saying I'd over done it a bit.
