Back pain can't walk

Anyone else been getting really bad shooting pains in your bum cheek down your leg?
I have got it on both sides and a really painful tailbone.
I can't walk at the moment without yelping every step and sobbing in agony.
Tried heatpacks but I got too hot and passed out
Paracetamol don't really do anything
Got an ice pack to try this afternoon.
Only thing that helps is a warm bath, paracetamol and a sleep but I'm the only one at work at the moment so can't do that.
Sitting at my desk is agony!
Can anyone offer any advise at all?
Can't get in to docs for another week :(

Sciatica or pelvic pain, go see an osteopath or physio.

Emma198 · 19/06/2018 16:41

Sciatica, I've got it too. How far along are you?

Nichola2310 · 19/06/2018 16:53

Sounds like sciatica which I also have. For me the only relief comes from lying down, ice packs and codeine. Sitting, standing, walking all are torture.

Just came to give you these Flowers back pain is horrendous!i suffer on and off with it and have been hospitalised on one occasion, I'm only 11 weeks and dreading the later stages of pregnancy, I really hope it improves for you soon.

How far along are you? I have this and midwife basically saying you'll have to lump it, referal to a physio will take longer than rest of pregnancy basically. She did say use a birthing ball and it may cause baby to move and relieve pain a bit

Kitcat159 · 19/06/2018 17:18

I'm 35 weeks now and wow it hurts.
Can't sleep. Got stuck in the bath, got stuck on the sofa.
Midwife basically said "Think that's bad, wait till labour" which didn't really help.
Will try to get to the doctor next week.
Only 8 more days of work left then maternity leave and I can cry in peace!
I knew it would be uncomfortable in the later stages but wasn't expecting to feel like I am connected to a car battery and being jolted every few seconds.
It is somewhat amusing when I have to answer the phones and I have to stifle my swearing tho!

I was admitted into hospital when I had this because otherwise referral would have taken too long. I'd try and get an emergency appointment

Drchinnery · 19/06/2018 17:26

Had this from about 18 weeks, sciatica plus baby was sitting on my hip so could barely walk round supermarket without crying! I had to stop work really early as among other things I was sitting all day and couldn't walk when I stood up. Had referral for physio but took too long i had him before i got the letter! so if they mention that ask them if they can speed it up!

tweetypi · 19/06/2018 17:49

Pay to see an osteo privately, I had this at 20 weeks and it was horrible but he realigned my pelvis and it made a real difference. Good luck!
