I'm 35 weeks now. Is it safe for me to start having raspberry leaf tea now?
I was looking at the clipper one but it contains hibiscus. I thought we couldn't have hibiscus?
Anyone know?

I started it from 36 weeks and my midwife gave me the go ahead on that. I read that the teabags only have a small amount of raspberry leaf in though, something like 30%. I went on Amazon and bought a bag of proper organic loose tea leaves as I guess it's a lot stronger that way. I use a little tea leaf strainer ball to make up a cuppa and it's nice with honey. Or you can get the capsules which I've heard work well and are probably easier!

Hibiscus isn’t allowed because it can bring on uterine cramping and early labour. I imagine clipper include it because that’s kind of the point of raspberry leaf tea isn’t it?

I thought the raspberry leaf was to strengthen the uterus to help make labour more effective. Not to bring on labour

I've been taking it since 30 weeks, did with other two pregnancies too. It's not for bringing on labour, just to tone uterus so that contractions are more efficient

@dreaming do you have the clipper one? With the hibiscus?

Yes. I had a different one from Holland and Barrett and that made me tighten a bit so changed to this one.
