Early pregnancy bleeding

I think I am about 4 weeks pregnant. I did a test the other day and a few hours later I bled a small amount of fresh blood. For about a day I passed small amounts of old blood. Now nothing. I don't know what to do with it being so early on? I have had a missed miscarriage before.

I think you are just stuck in limbo.

You may have a miscarriage but you may not. In my experience if you have no more bleeding I would say it is not a miscarriage. It is too early to have a scan to see what is happening as everything is so small.

I bled approximately every 4 weeks for about 3-4 days during my first trimester. The colour was mainly brown indicating old blood. Unfortunately you just have to wait it out. :(

Thought so. Will wait a few weeks and re test? Just don't want to wait too long as I had a missed miscarriage before.

This would be classed as a chemical pregnancy if the pregnancy is no longer viable. As it's too early to class it as a miscarriage/MMC.
A Chemical is where you bleed not long after a positive pregnancy test, and if the pregnancy is over. It's too early to be seen on a scan, the only way you knew you was pregnant was by the chemical reaction from the positive test.
Many would think it was a late period if they had never of tested. It's a bit early yet to say it's over, take a test again in a few days, and see how the bleeding goes.
