Constant pain under bump when walking!

I'm 23 weeks and this pain has gradually got worse, it's like a stitch but a very painful one, is worse if I walk any faster than a slow crawl but today it's become constant when I walk, in walking whilst wincing in pain. It's just under my bump and alternates between which side. Any ideas?

It could be sciatica or SPD. Ask your midwife for advice but I had the exact same issue which cleared up for about a week afterwards after a deep tissue massage on my sciatic nerves on the side of my hips and thighs. Absolute god send. Every time it comes back, I call my massage therapist and she sorts me right out. I'm now 27 weeks and only get it once every 3 weeks.

I'm 32 weeks... Have never had this but every pregnancy is different so doesnt mean it's anything to worry about :-) good idea to phone midwife... Phone them now (my hospital we're meant to call the labour ward with any concerns so its 24/7)

Had this through my whole pregnancies. It was round ligament pain, and my muscles stretching and moving.

You put most of your weight on in the 3rd trimester so I struggled alot then as I am on my size 8. Which caused more stretching.

Could that be it OP?

Good luck op.

Hi ladies, I couldn't get hold of the midwife and was in my surgery for something else so spoke to the doctor who sent me to maternity day unit. Checked me over and all is fine and she said she believes it's round ligament pain so you were right. She does think it might develop into SPD so just to be aware.

Thanks ladies x
