This time round I can't get enough chilli and shes a girl.

peeseandchickle · 11/06/2018 16:34

Massive sweet tooth (biscuits) when preg with ds. No cravings when preg with dd. So....

Iswallowtoothpaste · 11/06/2018 17:37

I’m only 9+4 weeks and usually I’m a very savoury person (think crisps, potato’s, savoury pastries etc) but I’ve completely gone off anything savoury, just doesn’t appeal to me anymore and I’m really craving sweet things!

stuckficks · 11/06/2018 17:41

I was obsessed with cheese and olives and any salty crisps with both of my pregnancies - had two girls.
Everyone was adamant they were both boys down to the way I carried and my cravings!

Stephisaur · 11/06/2018 18:58

I’m obsessed with savoury food at the moment but don’t know what we’re having yet!

mummabearfoyrbabybears · 11/06/2018 21:13

Very savoury and healthy with my three boys. Sweet and sugary with my only daughter. I've never heard of this theory though so that's quite funny Smile

MrsCrumbtious · 11/06/2018 21:17

Craved salty, savoury food early on in this pregnancy now I want all the sweets! Don’t know what we’re having yet!

Namethatchange · 11/06/2018 21:19

Definitely true for me, craved meat with my boy and ice cream or milkshakes with my girl.

ElMarineroBaila · 11/06/2018 21:26

Another salt and vinegar crisps with twin boys over here! But then later on I did crave "blue" like blue ice poles and sour blue sweets.

Vanillaradio · 12/06/2018 08:52

Worked for me, I wanted toast , nachos and salty things generally, really went off chocolate. I had a boy.

Rose2887 · 12/06/2018 08:56

My first (dd) I craved junk to begin with like McDonald’s then went into sweet things all the time...

This time I’m 12 weeks and craving both salty and sweet... chips and salt and vinegar crisp and cheese and loving fruity sweets and any fruit, I don’t know the sex!!! Will be interested to know 😊

Rose2887 · 12/06/2018 08:57

Although both times this time gone off chicken!!! Xx

isambardo · 12/06/2018 08:59

Savoury with ds1, sweet with ds2. Bit of a mix this time, dh is worried it’s twins!

doodlejump1980 · 14/06/2018 19:14

Twin boy S&V crisp fist-pump at @ElMarineroBaila
My boys are 3 now, what about yours?

elizastarbeth · 14/06/2018 20:15

It's been crisps and savory things all the way for me, and the 20 week scan says it's a boy. I usually love chocolate so it's an about turn!

RideSallyRide76 · 14/06/2018 20:22

I normally have a really sweet tooth. Whilst pregnant sweet food repulsed me and I wanted bland savoury eg potato cakes. I had a boy.

n0ne · 14/06/2018 20:27

I developed a mad sweet tooth when pregnant with DD1 and it continued into my second pregnancy with DD2. Haven't had boys so got nothing to compare it to.

QueenOfMyWorld · 14/06/2018 20:35

Craved any meat particularly hotdogs had a ds

myusernameisnotmyusername · 14/06/2018 20:54

I was completely savoury- tuc biscuits were my favourite. And I had a girl!

questabellatreetop · 14/06/2018 21:46

I have two boys and this ones a girl, definitely rings true for me.

Nothisispatrick · 14/06/2018 21:48

Worked for me. I'm having a girl and definitely much more in to sweet things than usual.

londonfeather · 14/06/2018 21:49

Sweet ! I didn’t have a sweet tooth until I was pregnant.. but when I was, I was counting down the minutes to my lunchtime can of Coke everyday. I had a boy! So old wives tale was not right for me...

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 14/06/2018 21:53

Salty popcorn with ds. Puddings, custard and milkshakes with dd!

Muddlingalongalone · 14/06/2018 21:58

Fizzy orange with dd1 & Percy pigs with dd2 so true for me.

Justmuddlingalong · 14/06/2018 22:03

Yazoo strawberry milk, DS1.
Jelly tots (particularly the yellow ones) DS2
Porridge with sugar not salt, DS3.
So, no that old wives tales wasn't right in my experience.
