D&V bug?

Anyone had one while pregnant? Am 29 weeks tomorrow.

I suddenly felt really off last night. Couldn't figure out what was up at first, thought it might just be hormonal, but I struggled through my tea (so don't think it was caused by that), and 30 mins later I was vomiting. I still felt poorly but managed to sleep and has a bit of diarrhoea this morning but not too bad. I still feel off but not as bad as last night. Tummy just feels a bit tender.

Could this me a mild D&V and has anyone had one while pregnant before? Should I be concerned?

I got D&V from my DS in midst of first trimester sickness. Was not fun! Just to everything you can to stay hydrated and if you’re almost over it in 24-48hrs I don’t think there’s any need to worry

That does sound like a little bug or maybe you ate something dodgy.

I had noro when I was 16 weeks with DD. I vomited more than 30 times in about 9 hours and was still throwing up after 24 hours. I ended up being admitted to hospital for 2 days as I was so dehydrated. DD was absolutely fine! In this situation all your body's energy goes into looking after baby.

Thank you. Wow 30 times, that sounds horrendous. It must be something very mild if anything. I do feel poorly still but that's probably a bit of dehydration. Least baby will still be okay!

*sorry typo in first post, meant 20 weeks tomorrow not 29

Poor you! Your baby will be fine, as INeed says, they take what they need from you. Banana, Apple, Rice and Toast (BRAT diet) are good if you can face food. Ice lollies are good for rehydration too! My 5 year old had terrible D&V last week but it passed in 48 hours. Hope you are back to normal soon and in the meantime rest, rest, rest!

I find I'm more sensitive to food poisoning when pregnant, if the milk is even slightly on the turn the results are not good to say the least. I'm very vigilant about expires dates and cooking things properly. Food poisoning can be from anything you are in the last 48 hours, doesn't have to be a virus.
