Sickness - what food are you not put off of?

I'm currently 6+4 and finding the thought of any food revolting! I've been put off of all my favourite foods and struggle to eat anything all day. The feeling of sickness is there throughout day and can't seem to think of any food I fancy! Just wondering if anyone currently feels / have felt the same and what you ate when you didn't feel like anything? Smile x

DH kindly force fed me during the worst of my nausea. I mainly ate bland stuff like toast and coco pops.

I’m 12 weeks now and still largely struggle with hot food, but I could eat sandwiches on white bread until the cows come home.

Hopefully you can find something you can eat :)

All beige things... McDonald's chips, crisps, pot noodle, chicken dippers, sandwiches.

Fedupxmum · 09/06/2018 22:21

Anything bread lol toast and sandwiches are mostly what I've lived on.

Aw12345 · 09/06/2018 22:22

All beige. Crackers, bread sticks, salted popcorn, plain toast, cornflakes etc. Rest helps a lot too. Was very in to jacket potatoes and plain nuts... Good luck and congratulations :-)

@Fedupxmum @Emma198 @Stephisaur @Aw12345
Thanks girls!! Beige foods seem my best bet then! Also having a few ginger biscuits seem to help with sickness feeling! Hadn't thought of pot noodle or bread! X

I remember only eating dry cereal out the box, banana and oranges. Had them next to my bed so I didn't even have to get up Grin

Marthamoo1 · 09/06/2018 22:27

I'm exactly the same. Sandwiches are best for me. I can also stomach soups which seem better as they coat your tummy so it seems to stave off the nausea for a little while. Even cup a soups help.

Kate123cl · 09/06/2018 22:28

@ilovejammiedogers brilliant idea having it next to your bed lol! Might have to try cereal! X

oh yeah I've enjoyed oranges the whole way through too.

Kate123cl · 09/06/2018 22:28

@Marthamoo1 thank you! Haven't thought of soups so may give that a try!

In the worst hyperemesis days I ate super noodles, freezing cold & thinly sliced apple, mashed potatoes and the readymade porridge pots. Tomato cuppa soup was just about tolerable too

Galaxyteal · 09/06/2018 22:32

My favourite food was chicken before I was pregnant, I couldnt even smell it or go near it when I was pregnant. Its been 9 weeks pp and I'm just getting back on it lol
I lived on dry toast, plain rice cakes and ice.

Kate123cl · 09/06/2018 22:37

Mashed potato is a good idea! @Icklepickle101

When it was at its worst for me I had a week where my lunch was pasta with nothing on it and dinner was rice with grated cheese and peas. PP's suggestion of soup is wrong, just wrongGrin. I don't miss the early pregnancy days, fuck, it was horrible! Hope you feel better soon.

Kate123cl · 09/06/2018 22:59

@NCPuffin I have been having pasta, does make me feel very full and I can keep it down!Grin thank you!

Carbs. Beige food. Apples. Ice lollies.
Couldn't stand coffee or anything sweet.

emwithme · 09/06/2018 23:40

McDonald's. I swear this baby is going to come out looking like Mayor McCheese Grin

Orange juice lollies.

chasingdonuts · 09/06/2018 23:53

I ate watermelon in between meals and that really helped with my morning sickness. I also kept a packet of ginger nuts next to my bed. Try travel sickness bands too, they all worked a treat for me!

Congratulations on your little bean 💗

sexnotgender · 10/06/2018 07:01

I’ve gone from eating very low carb to surviving on toast and digestive biscuits! I feel like a blimp but really struggling with food. Meat is difficult right now, the texture is making me nauseous.

doleritedinosaur · 10/06/2018 07:05

Jam on toast over & over.

But yes beige foods.

With my first for 3 months all I could eat was potato wedges. Home made, it was ridiculous.

MrsCrumbtious · 10/06/2018 07:54

Lemon sherbets or any sour sweets helped me through the early days

Kate123cl · 10/06/2018 07:55

Thanks for all the tips ladies! All very helpful Smile x

I'm off chocolate, even a taste makes me feel sick, most sweet things tbh! I'm surviving on crisps and Greek salad with loads of feta and dressing, so strange the things we want to eat!

Ploppymoodypants · 10/06/2018 08:16

mine changes a lot. But basically I eat what ever my body tells me to, everything else comes up. But if I pay attention to the specific craving then I can keep it down.
Started at macdonalds cheeseburgers for about 4 days
Then smash mash potato with butter and pepper
Now I have eaten mostly just coco pops for about 2 weeks with full fat milk. The odd bit of plain pasta for lunch.

I was mostly vegan before pregnant and definitely wouldn’t have eaten macdonalds, instant mash potato or cereal with cows milk. But even Alpro or soya milk makes me sick.

Good luck, hopefully it will ease off soon and you will start feeling better. I am coming out the otherwise now.
