Don't really now how to explain symptoms but I'll just try anyway so I keep having a really sharp digging pain above my pubic line where the 'c section' scar would be (seen my sisters) and a strong urge to poo (tmi sorry) but don't actually need to poo? And period pains? And also earlier I really don't think it was wee 🤦🏻‍♀️ As didn't smell like it (again tmi) but I had what I would explain as a small gush but I can't figure out whether it was fluid or dishcharge and I've had no more since ? It was clear on my fingers and I have a pad on and it's basically still dry ..sorry if that is just a mess of an explaination

I would ring the labour ward and ask for advice.

LupinsNotBluebells · 09/06/2018 21:22

I would get it checked out at the maternity assessment unit at your local hospital - it's possible that your waters have [partially] gone early and there is an increased infection risk if that is the case. I'm 34+3 and don't recognise the gushing as a standard symptom. Pain could be braxton hicks or ligaments softening but as a whole package of symptoms, I'd be getting that checked out in hospital.

Fingers crossed it's not early labour. x

Fedupxmum · 09/06/2018 21:26

Could be very early labor and the gush could have been your waters breaking. Even though you said it was a small gush I have heard than sometimes waters can break and then patch itself up (if you get what I mean) that COULD be why you haven't had anymore. I would get checked out asap

Ring the maternity ward you'd rather just know it's not your waters

LBelle12 · 09/06/2018 21:30

Maternity ward will ask you to come in and do an internal, and take a swab of any visible liquid/pooling. If you’ve recently come out the bath or pool it could be due to water “getting in” and coming back out. If it was amniotic fluid it may have a distinct odour. Worth getting checked Smile

Most sounds normal but not the gush. Give the maternity unit a call and get checked out.

bowgumdrop2018 · 09/06/2018 21:42

I called the unit and they said they don't sound worried at the moment as I haven't lost any more and the pad I've been wearing is still dry but told to call back if I loose any more
