Baby moved loads this morning, but after that I've had nothing, I'm only 20+5 and already getting worried 😓
I do suffer with anxiety so please don't judge.

Try not to panic. It’s totally understandable when you first feel the movements to want to feel them regularly and believe me when I tell you I get the anxiety about baby.
Completely.
However you’re still a little bit early to worry about lack of movement there is heaps of space for baby to hide still so there will be times when you don’t feel them as much or as strongly

This might help
But as ever if you’re worried call your midwife

If you're concerned at all whatsoever about movement you should really go and get checked

I felt like this at one stage early on. I rang the midwife and she suggested drinking some cold water, or having a cup of tea, eating something sweet and then lying really still for half an hour. If you still don't feel anything go into the hospital. I know it's really scarey at that stage as you're just starting to feel movements. I'm now overdue and the baby kicks the crap out of my all day and night 😂 but they always say if concerned at all, ring them. Better safe than sorry

Thank you for your replies.
I spoke to midwife and she said they don't tend to monitor it worry about movements so early on. And it's my first baby so she said I probably won't feel much anyway for a while.

At that stage there is plenty of space for them to move and hide away so movement isn’t so easy to feel. My midwife told me before 28 weeks they don’t put you on the CTG about if concerned give your midwife a call or your ward triage they can offer advice and will prob ask you to come in for a reassurance listen

I've just posted on a similar thread. I also have anxiety, which is currently focussing on baby movements. I am surprised they told you they don't do anything at your gestation, that is very different from my experience. Not to be unhelpful, but just so you know that elsewhere they would call you in to listen to the heartbeat, might be helpful to know if you do want to call them back. Did you tell them you have anxiety? At my hospital they were very keen to make sure I wasn't worrying, and it may make a difference in terms of them calling you in or not.

@NCPuffin Anxiety is debilitating isn't it?
My midwife is fully aware of my mental health, but I think in some ways she realises I need constant reassurance and I said early on that this might not be good for my mental health. I feel that if I went for reassurance, I'd be going everyday and it wouldn't be healthy so I need to rationalise in my mind the possibility of something being wrong.

At my early stage I mean. I'm 21 weeks on Saturday and the only reason you're meant to count the kicks after 24-28 weeks from what I've read is because if baby is in distress they can induce labour or perform a c section to try and save them. In my case, it's way too early for that so it's just reassurance.
