Hi there, FTM here!

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and preparing for my son...

Anyone able to give me a rough guide as to how many sleepsuits and things I need. I'm pretty much set for newborn clothes, bibs, muslins and blankets and now focussing on 0-3months bits.

I think FTM often over buy so I am trying not too so thought I would ask for advice... Grin.

Also want to make sure I'm buying practically, did most of you just have them in sleep suits at this age? or outfits? Unsure of what is socially acceptable. Blush

Thanks ladies

Hi I'm currently expecting baby number 4, due 16th October 21 weeks. So far I've got 10 sleepsuits in 0-3. I will probably buy a few more but haven't bought any outfits as i do still have some from my previous children, HOWEVER i do not plan to put this baby in outfits just babygrows mainly as they do not stay little for long and i think babies are more comfortable in babygrows.. i still have outfits that they didn't wear because they just looked more comfy in the babygrows. I personally do a wash load every day so do not think i'll need more than 15 babygrows probably the ten I've bought to be fair but it mixes it up then that they aren't in same ones all the time. I had balck sacks of clothes from my only son (first born) that we passed on because i got so carried away buying stuff. But you also do what you feels best for you. Congratulations by the way x

You can dress them in outfits if you want to, or just sleepsuits if you want to, there is no right or wrong here. I generally just use sleepsuits for the first few months simply because I find it easier - I don't formally get them dressed in the morning/ready for bed at night as a newborn, just change the sleepsuit whenever it gets dirty which happens often enough.

For this baby (no 3) I'm reckoning on having around 10 sleepsuits and vests, and buying more if I keep running out. We are constantly washing anyway, so clothes go through the wash pretty quickly here.

*Black sacks, sorry! I will say though with my son he liked to tinkle when the cold air hit him when nappy changing so i do remember changing him more than my girls. Haha x
