Headaches?! Help!

I'm currently 15+3 and every morning for the last couple of weeks I'm waking up with horrific headaches. To the point where I can barely move my head it's so painful. Does anyone know what these are caused by, or is it just another (horrendous) symptom of pregnancy? I'm still suffering with sickness too I don't know if that's relevant.

Is the pain located down one side of your head as opposed to an all over pain? If it’s one sided, I would say it’s a migraine and these can be brought on in pregnancy even if you’ve never had them before.

If you’ve been suffering with sickness still, are you hydrated enough? Because dehydration makes it all worse. It’s probably worth giving your midwife a phone to get your urine checked for signs of dehydration and she can advise if there are any painkillers you can safely take.

Hope you feel better soon xx

It's down one side, but I've had migraines before and it's not quite as severe as that but it's not far off. I probably am dehydrated to be fair, my sickness has cranked up a gear since these headaches and I'm struggling to keep anything down. Maybe it is a migraine then actually, because I suffer sickness with them too. Thank you x

If you are dehydrated, I would give your midwife a call, because you might be severely dehydrated and need a drip. I suffered with hyperemisis and because I couldn’t keep anything down, ended up needing a drip to get rehydrated. Hopefully that will make you feel a bit better and banish the migraine x

Waking up with them usually indicates dehydration for me. Usually not drinking enough in the evening to get me through the night. It's been quite warm as well so maybe try increasing your fluids if you can.

Hiya I've had them really bad as well but I've found that eating and drinking instantly upon waking helps. Also try a can of full fat Coca Cola and some 4head that stick you rub on. I've also found that eating little and often helps.
