Tell me how it went when you first went into labour!
38 weeks, and every back twinge and tummy twinge I'm on the edge of my seat lol.

The dogs followed me round today all day! I feel he knows something I don't! Lol

I was induced with my first but second was spontaneous labour.

Was 40+6 and had tried everything to get him out. Was miserable and had a bath the evening I went into labour. Did some hand expressing in the bath. A few days prior to this I had started losing bits of my plug, not much tho. I went to bed about 23:00pm but couldn't sleep as my RLS was playing up. Got up at 23:45 to have a pee (again) and had my first contraction mid pee! It was definitely more noticeable than a BH as it took my breath away. Mine started straight away at 3-4 minutes apart lasting 30-45 seconds and I quickly got loads of pressure in my moo, so much that I couldn't sit down so I had to kneel! Got to the hospital around 02:30am, by this point my contractions were 2 mins apart and lasting a minute. Got into the room and my waters broke. He was born at 06:50am.. was home by 3pm that afternoon 😃

I was 41+2 (not what you want to hear sorry Grin) first contraction at 11pm on the Friday, after a long dog walk. Ds was born 11:20pm on the Saturday after a bloody long 24 hours and 20 minutes! I was awake for the whole thing.

38+4, I was in Greggs having a bacon roll and a coffee, felt a gush of wetness and thought it was my water, but was just my plug. Started with Period pains at about 2pm which then turned into contractions by 8pm

@Gemsie1984 thanks!! Ok so my waters may not break like you see in the movies and then all of a sudden contractions start! lol

Everyone's experience is so different! I guess when I know I will defo know then! Lol

In hindsight I had been having dull period type cramps for a few days before so was probably in very early labour for a few days. When I was examined when I got to the delivery suite I was 3-4cm.

Maybe! Mine all started as fairly regular but widely spaced period pain type cramps, but each time I had a few false alarms in the preceding days. With my last I was about to call the midwife out (home birth) when they stopped and it was another couple of days before actual labour.

My waters only broke when birth was imminent, hours in. That's fairly common.

BexleyRae · 03/06/2018 23:03

just make sure you have something planned that might make it awkward if you go into Labour, like a hair appointment then you are guaranteed for it to start.
Oh and my waters never broke, DD was born in her sac
