So I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I'm panicking about baby. Normally she is the most active of babes bit today I have felt nothing. My DH keeps saying its just heat and shes sluggish like the rest of us but I can't shake the feeling something is wrong.

I have had cramps along my stomach and behind my belly button but thats all I've felt today. No rolls. No kicks. Nothing. I've rang maternirty triage and they want me to go in but im just looking for reasurance could it be the heat or something more sinister :( ive been in 3 times already with reduced movements and i hate to be wasting peoples time. Im pretty sure they will soon be thinking I'm a hypocondriact.

I have been in 7 times with reduced movements- every time baby is fine on the monitor, I'm 35 weeks, they say to go in every time so go in please

RLOU88 · 03/06/2018 17:40

You are not wasting anyone’s time. It’s written on the all the documents we have from the hospitals for a reason. I am sure it’s fine but better to know your baby is okay so please get going x I assume you have had some ice water or orange juice and laid down? I had to do this earlier as I thought my babe was a bit quiet this morning! I’m not sure about the heat I don’t think they can tell the temperature outside as baby is held within you’re core temp!

RosieCotton · 03/06/2018 17:42

Yeah orange juice was my first call as normally it gets her kicking up a storm. Im on my way up I just always feel like a fool when I go and shes fine on the monitor. Im just arriving at hospital for triage and hopefully she will put on a show and make me feel like an idiot again. Xx

Fingers crossed for you. Think I'm going to do the same later. Barely felt anything today, and she's normally so active. Having some food first as that usually gets her kicking way more than cold drinks etc but I'm worried.

frasier · 03/06/2018 17:46

I was in 4 or 5 times. Go in. The stress isnt worth it so you may as well go in.

ferntwist · 03/06/2018 17:53

Good luck OP, always the right thing to do to go in.

doowapwap · 03/06/2018 17:59

Good luck op, I'm sure everything is fine but you are doing the right thing getting checked out

LostMyBaubles · 03/06/2018 18:24

Good luck op. Always best to get checked out

Orphanblackfan · 03/06/2018 18:40

If you are worried just go to a and end put your mind at rest.

However towards the end of all my pregnancies movement reduced (all 3 were big bubbas).

It's never ever the wrong thing to get checked. Any midwife or obstetrician would rather deal with twenty worried but ok pregnancies than deal with one intrauterine death. Hope all is ok op.

RosieCotton · 03/06/2018 19:06

Thank you for replies. On monitor her heart rate was good bit movements are very tiny compared to what I normally have. We have a scan booked for tomorrow morning and will be in tonight for monitoring xx

ferntwist · 03/06/2018 19:08

Glad her heart rate was good. Good luck tomorrow OP!

frasier · 03/06/2018 19:12

Are you staying in tonight?

Let us know how it goes with the scan Smile

RosieCotton · 03/06/2018 19:32

Yeah doctor isn't happy with my blood pressure. Its higher than it has been and ketones in my sample so in for fluids and keeping an eye on blood pressure at least baby is making me out to be a fool as normal. Xx
