So here s my situation. Had sex last night with this guy, he s an experienced person and can totally maintain himself. He did not ejaculate inside but i took the pill just for safety. But does it work the same if i'm on my most fertile days? PS this is not the first time i take it and it always worked for me. I also should not be worried cause he got out on time. I just want from y'all a confirmation that i shouldnt be worried:) thanks a lot.. I'm a bit nervous here, even if all my stats look ok. What do you say? Hmm

You should be fine. The pill will still work on your most fertile days and since there's only the chance of pre-ejaculate too, you should be covered. Nothing is 100% obviously but you've got fantastic odds.

BIWI · 03/06/2018 09:25

I'd be very worried Hmm

Unless you want a baby, of course?

Why don't you use more conventional contraception?

Balancingact12 · 03/06/2018 09:26

I assume you’re booking yourself in for an sti test aswell.. pregnancy isn’t the only outcome of unprotected sex you know

BrutusMcDogface · 03/06/2018 09:29

Jesus. Just use a condom. The map isn't meant to be used as contraception; it's an emergency measure.

Celebelly · 03/06/2018 09:30

It would be very unlikely so just try to relax :)

karlafonsi · 03/06/2018 09:37

I am sorry everyone:) I usually have protected sex but this was something else and I took all the measurements. I know the guy well I am STD free. Thanks a lot for your encouraging thoughts

How on earth do you know he's STI free? Confused

Hellywelly10 · 03/06/2018 09:42

You should be fine op. If he refuses to wear condoms i would reconsider seeing him again though. Do something nice for yourself todayFlowers

karlafonsi · 03/06/2018 09:48

yes haha that's a good point. this will never happen again. thanks a lot

It sounds highly unlikely that you'd get pregnant but (and I'm genuinely trying not to sound judgemental here) please try to look after yourself better in the future. HIV may not be the automatic death sentence it used to be but it still has a massive impact on a persons life. Not to mention all of the other STI's you could have caught.

HIVpos · 14/06/2018 23:01

Just to echo the last poster, HIV does indeed have a massive impact on someone’s life. Just a few points:

Doesn’t matter a jot if you know someone well
People lie
Takes a month approx. after unprotected sex for HIV antibodies to show up on a test
STIs other than HIV are much more easily caught
A guy who won’t wear condoms and is “experienced”......what does that tell you?
Pre-cum contains sperm and (if infected and not on treatment) HIV virus.

Glad to hear you’re not planning on doing this again OP Smile

Wow, OP, bet you weren't expecting a full on lecture on all the STI's out there!

I wouldn't worry AT ALL! DH and I used the pull out method for about 4 years and had no scares whatsoever and then we started TTC and I fell pregnant within month 3.

Penguin34 · 17/06/2018 09:26

Pregnancy wise you I think you'll be fine.

Me and my other half used the pull out method for 11 years and no pregnancy (tried a fair few pills but I don't get in with any)

Left it in for a month and now I'm pregnant Grin

But, it's not a good idea really, because you never know what else can happen.

Lymphy · 17/06/2018 10:36

It depends if you had ovulated or not, emergency oral contraception works by delaying ovulation so if you'd already ovulated then it's not going to help but if not hopefully it will delay ovulation enough to prevent a pregnancy. Remember not even emergency contraception is 100% all the time I'd get on something more reliable and long term and use condoms most STI's give no symptoms,

Merrz · 17/06/2018 12:03

You should be fine with the morning after pill but in case you aren't aware for future there are sperm in pre ejaculate fluid so it really doesn't matter whether he didn't actually ejaculate inside you.
