Is there any way to tell which way baby is? *pic*

Not sure you can tell from this photo, however I'm trying to work out exactly how anterior my placenta is! If it is high or low... I have no techy knowledge at all so can't work out from this scan where my cervix is etc and which was baby is. It might be impossible so feel free to point this out to me if it's wishful thinking! Any ideas?

Say baby is facing downwards. X

Fedupxmum · 02/06/2018 20:30

Looks to me like baby is downwards and facing your back

I'm 23+6 and my LO is exactly the same as yours. I'm not 100% but baby is on its tummy so it's back is against your belly and your placenta looks anterior but not low.

Hi lovely. Did you get a scan report? Can you put up a pic of that and I’ll interpret it for you :)

Darkstar4855 · 03/06/2018 00:27

Hard to tell where your cervix is from this picture - at this stage baby could be lying sideways (transverse lie) or at any angle so without knowing what position the scanner probe was in it’s probably impossible to say. Placenta is definitely anterior though - the top of the picture is your abdomen.

If you’re worried about low-lying placenta it’s worth noting that about 95% of those that are low-lying at 20 weeks will be fine by the end of pregnancy.

@WeeBump89 I didn't get one as they were actually doing a cervical length scan and this one was done just to get a glimpse of baby. Otherwise I would happily have put one up Smile

Thanks everyone and so sorry for the late response! Worried my placenta covers the whole of the front of my uterus and won't be able to feel kicks properly. Nevermind eh Sad
