Changing bag?

Hi, which changing bag have you got? Or are you getting? I had a gorgeous Cath Kidston one with DD1 but they only seem to do one or two now?

I've just got a normal, decent sized bag. Does the job perfectly and a lot cbesler.

IveNoImagination · 01/06/2018 21:22

Cheaper that should say.

With my first I had a lovely yummy mummy changing bag second a Nike backpack sooo much easier and so practical when running around after 2 it has side pockets for when he had bottles and loads of compartments inside

Creatureofthenight · 01/06/2018 21:26

I use the one that came with my pram.

Petunia Pickle Bottom. Massively reduced in TKMaxx. Black and white jacquard. I love it and get very upset at people who put it on the floor.

Changing bag?

Ah I hadn't finished. It's great and lightweight but only trouble is the straps sometimes fall down when used with a baby carrier

Blondemother · 01/06/2018 21:46

I second the rucksack advice above - especially if you are likely to have baby in a sling/carrier.

MonkeyBrainsInPickle · 01/06/2018 21:57

I’ve just ordered a Land changing rucksack.

BridgeFarmKefir · 01/06/2018 22:13

Found a changing rucksack on Amazon with all sorts of pockets and useful features. £30, both DH and I like it, sorted.

Speaking to other Mums a changing bag really doesn't need to be anything other than a bag you're comfy wearing, with pockets. Unfortunately, anything baby-related (as with Weddings) tends to add £££ onto the price!

RiverMeadow · 01/06/2018 22:24

I do have a Cath Kidston backpack that I carry around now but it's so heavy with everything in. I was thinking of something to hang from the pram. Love all the suggestions Smile

I’m just going to treat myself to a nice rucksack as plan to babywear more than using a pushchair. I’ve been lusting after a yellow Fjallraven one for ages but I can’t really justify spending £70+ on a rucksack tbh so I’ve got my eye on eBay for the time being.

MrsDilligaf · 02/06/2018 11:37

I bought a Cath Kidston changing bag off eBay - I think it was about 10 quid! It has been used daily for 27 months and is still going strong.

I am strangely attached to it...it has been a constant presence in our lives since before DD was born and I'm not sure I can bring myself to get rid of it Grin

DD calls it "ma bag" and drags it around in spite of it being roughly the same size as her.

I've got this one - I wanted a rucksack one and also something that DP would be prepared to be seen carrying, which pretty much ruled out Cath Kidston! No complaints so far.
I was Shock at how much a lot of changing bags cost.

EeekPreggoAgain · 02/06/2018 16:49

I had one I hung off the pram to start with but then I was constantly having to get it off and on, worrying about the pram tipping , worrying about leaving it on the pram and it getting stolen so then having to juggle it on my shoulder, all that faffy stuff....(neurotic I know) Got a backpack style one in the end and it was so much more straight forward and hands free when it came to carrying it off the pram and also carrying the baby.

BridgeFarmKefir · 02/06/2018 18:16

@Narya that's the one we got - seemed like a bargain compared with all those £100+ ones you see...

Narya · 02/06/2018 18:26

@BridgeFarmKefir I know, right?! Were almost 5 months in and no issues so far except it has so many pockets and subpockets you can lose stuff in there...
