Anti Sickness Bands

Do they work? I've seen them mentioned on here a couple of times.

I'm currently 7+5 and feeling very nauseous but only been sick a couple of times. We're going on a short holiday the week after next so I'd like to not feel utterly pants if I can help it...

They did nothing for me! Nausea is really hard to cure, truthfully I don’t think there is a cure :( I was about six weeks when the nausuea turned into sick so I would ask the doctor for anti sickness pills so it doesn’t ruin your holiday, encase you do need them! Have a good holiday

I love mine. Had awful sickness in first preg (midwife thought it was HG) and suggested them, they just took the edge off enough for me to function. On my second pregnancy now and my sickness hasn't been as bad, but I do still wear them religiously every day and wonder if they're responsible for the easier time this time round.

Sea Band do some for pregnancy. I just done a 13 hour flight a few days ago and wore them, not 100% sure if they really worked but I will still carry on wearing them on the tube to work when I'm back from holiday!

I just used sea bands - didn't know there were pregnancy ones - but yes, they worked. I wore them all the time (!) until the nausea just went away.

I didn’t think they worked for me. I am now on cyclizine again.

No help for me but i know they do help some people

They worked for me. It does say that the earlier you get them on, the better. I only took them off to shower for about 6 weeks! I took them off overnight once in that time and I woke up much worse than I had been whilst wearing them.
Might be worth a try. I would have hopped on one leg if it made me feel better!

I was hospitalised overnight so many times with HG with DS, was pregnant again last year (I miscarried at 13 weeks so can't say long term effects, and I know every pregnancy is totally different) and they really helped me. I did have cyclizine as well, but when pregnant previously I was on three different anti sickness tablets and still had to be admitted for a drip more times than I care to remember.

The placement is really important, but I genuinely felt terrible when I didn't have them on. I was a total naysayer about them, but worth a try!

I Use them. They seem to have ale the edge off. If I forget to put them on in the morning thank everyone nausea does get worse. Tho, when the sickness is really bad only the tablets will do. X
