In case anyone is genuinely worried, sneezing/coughing won't really harm baby (any more than pooing!) but can put pressure on your pelvic floor so make sure you are doing pelvic floor exercises regularly.

Girls who's partners don't drive....... why not phone an ambulance 🚑??

Today I'm worried about not getting to the hospital again, unplanned home birth with my first and they predict the second to be quicker so not too sure we will make it to the hospital and if it's easier to just plan a home birth and get the midwife over to our house ASAP when Labour starts

LittleLoveXoxo · 01/06/2018 15:05

amazing to see how many of you are worried about similar things, can you not call an ambulance if you dont drive?

TurtleTree · 01/06/2018 20:01

Oo serial worrier here too. 13+3 with first. On top of general worries about something going wrong:

Worried whether baby is actually growing as I haven't put on any weight at all (despite scan last week showing all fine)

Worried that the extreme exhaustion isn't going to abate - not currently coping with work but need to earn a full time wage before maternity.

Linked to the above - worried how I'll ever cope with a second pregnancy if I feel like this while having to look after a toddler, and definitely want a sibling for LO (one thing at a time, Turtle!)

chickenchip · 01/06/2018 20:11

@TammySwansonTwo mine is triplets Shock!!

Millypad · 01/06/2018 20:20

17+5, worried because I’ve had lots of flutters recently but it’s a bit quieter at the mo. Had a scan last week and we are having a beautiful little girl, but can’t stop worrying!

HelloViroids · 01/06/2018 20:23

11 + 3 and scan is on Mon - just really want to know the baby is ok Sad

LittleLoveXoxo · 05/06/2018 10:13

today its, am i big enough yet? the baby is the size of an avocado - so where is the bump at?? lol

Winterfellismyhome · 05/06/2018 10:16

36 weeks and worrying that constant diarrhoea is a sign that labour is coming Confused

StargazyDrifter · 05/06/2018 10:54

An excellent thread.

I'm only c.5w and worrying about/googling:

  • another early miscarriage;
  • low abdomen/cervix pain (like after a smear);
  • extravagant, all-consuming nightmares;
  • whether nightmares will turn into sleep walking when I'm away for work later in the week and DH won't be there! 😂

Of course all of this is fine, to be expected, no real cause for concern, but it just creeps up on you.

Oh, and I bought a floaty top in Zara today and now I'm wondering if I have jinxed the whole thing, obviously.

coastalchick · 05/06/2018 12:16

I’m 25+1 and worrying he’s not growing. My bump just doesn’t seem to be getting any bigger. Thankfully have MW appointment tomorrow.

Last week he had me up the hospital again as thought he had stopped moving - as soon as she put the Doppler on the little bugger kicked.

I think he’s going to be trouble! (But I love him anyway)

meow1989 · 05/06/2018 12:24

37+4, made the mistake of reading the birth injuries thread, terrified that "down there" is going to be horrific 😱 he's already estimated as 7lb 7oz a week ago so expecting him to be big.

Also thinking "we're term now, where are you, don't make me wait another month 😭"

biscuitaddict · 05/06/2018 12:27

15+ 2 and I'm huge already, probably how I was at 19/20w with dc1. Today I'm grumpy as hell. Tbh I've been a bit ragey all week. Everyone's pissing me off.

Flatwhite32 · 05/06/2018 17:57

@coastalchick I had this at 30 weeks! Baby girl hadn't moved all evening (very unusual) but as soon as I went on the monitor at the hospital, she moved loads! Love her more than words can say, but my god was she stressing me out that day!

coastalchick · 05/06/2018 18:14

@Flatwhite32 - gah, it's so worrying isn't it? and then you feel like a nob for worrying - but they must get it all the time!

sososotired · 08/06/2018 05:48

Today I'm not worried but very annoyed! Found myself being angry at my loving husband because he was asleep on his stomach he looked so peaceful and here I am struggling my ass off to get comfy! I'm 25 weeks and HUGE!

MrsCrumbtious · 08/06/2018 07:06

My big worry atm is dtd. I’m 12 1/2 weeks and we haven’t dtd since our BFP poor hubby is desperate! Worried we might hurt our baby, saw it on the scan moving so much surely having sex will make it sea sick with all the movements 😂 (tmi sorry!)

Fridakahlofan · 08/06/2018 07:39

I'm worried that I will go into labour before my scheduled c section...

TinyTerror1 · 08/06/2018 08:39

@MrsCrumbtious you are absolutely fine to dtd to your heart's content. Get it in now as you won't feel like it once the baby's born Wink If you're worried about too much jiggling try a slightly less vigorous approach Grin

TinyTerror1 · 08/06/2018 08:42

I'm 22+5 and worried that my fundal height is too low (no, it hasn't been measured yet but I read it should have been level with my belly button two weeks ago and it still doesn't seem to be!).

I'm also worried because baby was kicking on and off all day yesterday (yes, I know, everyone else is worried for the opposite reason).

And I'm worried about gestational diabetes. Four weeks to the test...

TryingToStayRational · 08/06/2018 09:29

I’m worried about how I will cope with sleep deprivation (I really love my sleep) and about being induced because I had IVF. I don’t really get why IVF makes such a difference, but I didn’t ask my consultant because I was seen 50 mins late and my bladder was ready to explode so I just wanted to escape to the loo! I will ask next time.

Also worried that I have put on too much weight already (am only 15 weeks and already 8kg heavier) so am going to end up the size of the moon at this rate.

Plus am worried about people judging me for riding my bike with a bump. I know it is fine and my midwife and consultant both think it’s great, but I’m just very sensitive at the moment and all my friends who have cycled when pregnant have had unpleasant comments so I feel it’s just a matter of time. Will have to suck it up somehow but fear I’ll cry or something! Blimmin hormones! Blush

wombats · 08/06/2018 13:40

I'm worried there's something wrong with my baby's brain. At our Nuchal scan, consultant said it looked perfectly normal but the left side looked smaller than the right! Consultant didn't bat an eye and even said it was perfect when I asked but can't help worrying it's not developing correctly. rational, I'm worried about eight gain too, already got a big belly and people are staring! can't imagine what I'll look like at 40 weeks Blush

TinyTerror1 · 08/06/2018 15:36

@wombats the brain doesn't really start developing fully until around 14 weeks if I recall correctly so it is normal for it to look "wrong" at 12 weeks. Don't panic 🙂 All these stresses we put ourselves through!

wombats · 08/06/2018 19:13

Thanks @tinyterror1. Pregnancy has turned me into a bit of a loon!

TinyTerror1 · 08/06/2018 19:40

You and me both. I only know things are fine because I've worried and researched most of them myself 🙄 although with the brain I had extra scans at 13+5 and 16+1 (not of the brain specifically) so the consultant explained a bit about brain development then :)
