I can't seem to stop being cross, just today and maybe yesterday. Ds is really getting on my nerves, yes I'm tired but it just feels like bad PMT ie. I can't stand anyone near me, can't concentrate, and I suppose am a bit 'crampy' which is usually what sets me off being a cow .

It suddenly occurred to me that this might signify something is going to happen sooner rather than later...but it probeably doesn't!! Just wondering if anyone else feels like they want to murder someone - or did as a sign of imminent labour?

Ouch yes it is like cramps. Not 'severe' ones, but still... Owww!!!

I'm 37 weeks too and impatient, restless, grumpy, crampy and NOTHING seems to satisfy me.

Basically you have just described me.

I'm putting it down to being on the final stretch and it seemingly taking ages...and general full on pregnancy grouchiness. I would love to think it is a sign I'm going to go into labour early but in fact I think its a sign that my DH has at least 3 weeks of hell to live with!

Just went out and bought a very non baby handbag. That helped.

Thanks Beck, nice to know I'm not alone! Hmm handbag is a good idea...

3 weeks suddenly seems a long time to wait. Which is wierd because I have managed over 8 months without tearing my hair out.

Now have spending guilt on top of rest of behaviour so maybe handbag not such a good idea....

God, I know what you mean! Just bought another buggy on ebay which I cannot afford, plus we already have quite enough! Arghh!!
At least once our LO's are here we won't have time for shopping and will probably therefore pay off everything passively...

Hey there
You know, I've heard that a lot of women get the sort of feelings you have described, around about 37 weeks....hope that helps!

scootermum · 19/05/2007 18:34

Im 39 weeks and have been in a strop for about 75% of the time since about week 35..poor DD and DH will sure be glad when this baby is out!

flightattendant · 19/05/2007 18:37

Seems to be settling into a bit of a pattern now...about every 10 minutes, maybe 15...seems to last about a minute or two, really uncomfortable.
Am wondering if it is prodromal labour now as baby is OP...apparently this is quite common with babies that are trying to turn, or something like that.
Will see what happens, could go on for weeks if so

Lol ...Flight attendent...that was exactly how I was justifying it to myself!I figure at least 2 weeks of being in pyjamas and then being too shocked to venture into any shops for another couple more...well, its all maternity pay stacking up!

No one told me about this 37 week madness though....glad to hear it isn't just me and is in fact to be expected...

beckmo · 19/05/2007 18:43

oooooohhhh...maybe not 37 week madness in your case and in fact sign of things happening.Hope you aren't too uncomfortable.

flightattendant · 19/05/2007 18:50

Looks like there are a few of us in the stroppy phase !
Am getting some advice on the Childbirth board so will cross over to there now,...

If I can manage to watch Dr Who then I expect it's a false alarm...mind you I'd probably watch that during second stage actually Two whole weeks without DT!!!!!!

On that note...

It's hard to differentiate these sorts of feelings from just feeling that way anyway because we are fed up, tired, sh*t scared (or is that just me!) and uncomfortable.

I'm a bit worried about knowing when I am in labour as just so bloody uncomfortable all the time don't know if I would notice any significant changes!

Good luck if this is you starting FA!

Scared too Bumper...Oh yes!

Hope you manage to get some good sleep at some point, thinking of you
