Did anyone have them, what were they and how soon after conception did they start??

I had loads of nausea, sore boobs, nose bleeds and migraines (my normal early pregnant symptoms) when I had the implant taken out, my hormones were totally out of control. It could be that, OP. I honestly thought I was pregnant but had multiple negative tests.

tvhearts · 28/05/2018 19:55

@rosamore did your periods return to normal quickly?

OP posts:

Not at all! I didn't have regular periods again until almost 6 months after having it removed (not what you want to hear, I know!).

tvhearts · 28/05/2018 20:57

@rosamore did you have bleeding whilst on implant? xx

I did IVF so I knew exactly when the embryo was meant to implant and I definitely felt it. It was actually quite painful, bad cramping which lasted about 3 days. I thought something was wrong! Then, 5 days after my 5 day embryo transfer (so the equivalent of 10dpo) I had one very itchy nipple 😁. I tested the following day (on 11dpo) and it was a BFP. The days that followed I had twinges in my bladder and had to get up multiples during the night to go to the loo. These were my early symptoms.

Best of luck x

*multiple times

I also meant to say that I had this feeling that it had worked too

rosamore · 28/05/2018 23:11

Yes I did, Op, very irregular and annoying. Was the reason I had it removed. Smile

Hi everyone! Thanks for your replies Ok so feeling a little less panicked today, I did quite a bit of reading last night into implant removal and the side effects and it seems relatively normal to have 'phantom' pregnancy symptoms as your hormones get back to normal. I can't remember this from last time mine was removed but that was 5 years ago now... I do remember however that my DS was conceived 4 months after removal. 🙈

Glad you're a bit less panicked, OP. Get a test in just so you can put your mind at ease in a week or so (I'm pregnant now, but normally always keep a stock of the strip tests in just in case; my first was conceived while on the pill so I'm a bit paranoid anyway!). Hope you're all sorted and back to normal soon! Thanks

Me too 🙏🙏

I've been pregnant four times (though first three were miscarriages) and every time I knew from the way my boobs felt from about 10dpo. I never had that on any of the cycles we tried and I didn't get pregnant, so by the last couple of pregnancies the actual test felt like a formality.

Eryri2018 · 29/05/2018 22:58

Before my period was even due i couldn't stop burping, it was the beginnings of hyperemesis!

tvhearts · 30/05/2018 08:15

What did they feel like LisaSimpson just sore?

OP posts:
LisaSimpsonsbff · 30/05/2018 11:53

Swollen in quite a specific way - not just bigger but much harder. But the thing is this stuff is so individual to your own body - I never get that before my period (and I also didn't get it when taking progesterone but not pregnant), but some people get it every cycle so it tells them nothing.

tvhearts · 30/05/2018 18:10

My 'symptoms' have died down a bit still feeling sick but tbh think that could just be from worrying! No sign of af but now leaning towards im just over worrying i could be pregnant ... fingers crossed

Oh and just started with a horrible cold so now also thinking general feeling yucky and tired was due to that x
