I’m a bit worried - on a rail replacement bus with no windows to open and air con that’s not working. It’s sweltering. The journey will be an hour - will this do baby any harm? I’m 17 weeks.

As far as I know (no expert!) It's more likely to make you suffer rather than the baby. Do you have plenty of water? If the temperature is unacceptable and you feel unwell, ask the conductor to arrange for someone to bring you some water.

Oh sorry just re read that you're on a bus. Rubbish :( as I say, it's probably you that will heat the brunt of the heat- keep drinking water if you have some.

That sounds horrible! They advise not to increase your core temperature too much. However, there must be people who've been abroad at 17 weeks and got too hot. Take off as many layers as possible, and ask if anyone has any water you could put on a cloth on your neck? If the bus stops, take the opportunity to get up and get some fresh air. Hope it cools off.

Thanks all, very kind - managed to get some water down my neck which helped. I think sprog is okay as I’m still feeling her flutter away, and went straight into a cold shower. My feet swelled up until I had to take shoes off! I complained to GWR who fully compensated - I think you tell anyone you’re pregnant and they panic!

Glad you made it home in one piece. Good call on the cold shower. Now get your feet up!

Poor you! Glad you're okay. Horrible :(
