Progress photos...

Did anyone here take 'progress photos' of their bump throughout pregnancy? Seems to be the new trend. Wasn't initially in to it as don't share much on social media but then figured it's something I would love to do for myself. Any ideas on how to do the best pics (poses etc) without a mirror (we just moved and don't have a big mirror yet!). I'm 17 weeks so a bit sad I left it a bit late. Any ideas would be fab!

No idea but I think it's a sweet thing to do. Unless you are going to post weekly updates on fb. Then it's just weird!

@MyOtherProfile I don't have Facebook Grin just Instagram and hardly use it!

We’re doing this - don’t upload them to any social media, but it’s nice to have a record for ourselves! I just get my husband to take a photo of me in the same spot, wearing more or less the same clothes (easy now at 39 weeks because there’s only a few things that fit) every couples of weeks or so and then edit it on my phone to say how many weeks/days I am. I like having them to look back on (:

I’m not in the UK and here I get scanned every 4 weeks (and actually a bit more in the beginning and towards the end) Everytime I’ve got a new scan photo, I get DH to take a Polaroid of me in the same outfit standing in the same way against the same wall, and I stick both in a mini photo album/scrap book. I’ve done this with both of my pregnancies and I think it’s a really nice thing to have.

I did this for both my pregnancys. I have hem in the computer, an app I use and I shared them with family on my photo sharing on my iPhone. (I live 400 miles from my family so they lived the updates!)
It is nice to have a record for us.
I only shared in Facebook if we were at a special occasion, rugby World Cup, weekend away etc...

I took them throughout my pregnancy and have put them into a scrapbook, complete with hospital letters and scan photos - I love looking back on them! Its really nice seeing the difference between my nine week bump (when I started showing) and my forty-one week bump (when I went into labour).
Plus I'm looking forward to comparing the photos to future pregnancies.

Thanks all. I so wish I had started taking them earlier so had a true transition of flat belly to big bump!

I did them for my first pregnancy, started at 4 weeks and did the last one at 36+5 in hospital just before emergency section. It's cool to see the progression, I did it for my own viewing, it wouldn't even ever occur to me to put it on social media but then I don't mention pregnancy much in real life never mind social media. I got dh to take the photos as we don't have a decent full length mirror anywhere.

I really wish I'd done it!

I actually think starting at 17 weeks is fine. I took weekly photos during my first pregnancy for the first 12 weeks or so, thought 'fuck this nothing's changing' and gave up.

Surprise - it does change Grin
