Hi,
I had a mild sharp pain when I stretched last night and so called the midwives and they referred me to an early pregnancy unit this morning. I had an ultrasound and she couldn't see anything so we tried the internal ultrasound (forgot what it's called) and she said she can't see anything that indicates pregnancy but my urine test was definitely positive. They said they're worried about ectopic pregnancy but could be that it's too early to even detect anything on the scan. Does anyone have any similar experiences? I feel so lost and upset I really don't know what to think! The lady who scanned me was really quite horrible and unreassuring but the nurse I saw afterwards did my bloods and she was lovely and said it may be too early to scan and that may be all that is is. I have to go for more bloods on Saturday. Any help appreciated x

Why are they scanning you again so soon OP?

@LisaSimpsonsbff thank you! Me too lol x

@ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo they said with this level they'd definitely expect to see something and I think they just want to know it's 100% in the womb. Hesitant to have it so soon though! X

Just an update for anyone going through anything similar - had a scan today and they found a heartbeat at 5+4w! On external scan only the sac was visible but on internal scan a heartbeat was detected very clearly! Smile
