Hi everyone. I’m being induced on Friday, so tomorrow is likely to be my last day of pregnancy (or last day of being able to relax at home during pregnancy anyway).

What should I do? What would you do?

OH will be running around like a headless chicken getting the house ready, and it’s mostly done anyway so I won’t need to do that... but I’m not sure what I should be doing with myself 🤔

I seem to be different to everyone here, I scrubbed floors, walked, to try to get my baby to come without being induced. By the time I went to the hospital I had started but they kept me there and as it slowed down I was induced. I really wanted to stay mobile to let gravity work it’s magic. The induction did take 24 hours maybe I should have slept, who knows what’s best

Take some bump pics, have a bath and sleep

Yes beautify yourself. I regret listening to everyone who told me it was pointless, next time I'm 100% going to have my nails done and eyebrows and eyelashes and tan!! Let your husband spoon you and enjoy each other's company. Hope it all goes well!

Definately a pedicure, if you haven't already had one. And the best 'date night' outside outside the house that your finances can afford! Good luck

I posted a similar query 3 years ago, thinking I had a week of lounging around to look forward to. In fact my son arrived so bloody soon after I didn't even manage to read the post responses until he was in my arms, feeding constantly and keeping me awake! Grin

In retrospect I wish I had (1) sorted out my hospital bag and (2) slept, slept and slept some more! Seriously, get caught up on that sleep so that you can start motherhood as well rested as possible.

Good luck!

I chilled out and had a chippy the day before I was induced

Brewdog in Camden Town with a cold frosty Nanny State. Got a one day stay of execution on induction to bring my mum over from Ireland to look after my toddler so we went for a meal and a couple of beverages!

Ahh enjoy!!!!
I got the washing basket emptied, everything tidied so the house was perfect and ready to come back to.
I lay in bed reading and watched a film...
Then spent the afternoon at triage (RFM, happened loads)
But that evening we had dinner outside just the two of us :)
