I'm really grateful i'm pregnant. It is such a gift and some don't get to do it. But I can't help finding it difficult so far. I'm 8 weeks and 6 days and basically I feel nauseous most of the time. I'm lucky, i'm not throwing up or gagging but I hate this feeling. I am averse to most foods. And I am also wheat, dairy, sugar, soya, yeast, chocolate, tomato and pepper intolerant. I'm really struggling with the fact that I hate being in the kitchen atm, being around foods, hating any food prep and what I can eat due to my aversions and intolerances in really narrow. Also my pregnancy aversions change all throughout the day. Is anyone else intolerant to foods and struggling with eating etc?

I don't have intolerances, just wanted to offer some sympathy. The nausea is awful. I'm 9 weeks and have had nausea since around 4 weeks. Been sick a couple of times in the last week, and it's far preferable!

What I've found helpful is to find a bland, boring food that I love (so for me it's cocopops, but I know you obviously can't eat those) and eating that where possible. The added bonus is that it takes about 2 minutes to prepare.

Don't know whether that gives you any ideas, hopefully someone else will be along to share some magical solution :)

I am six weeks and feel exactly the same. Constant nausea and also vomiting sometimes. Thankfully, one of my major aversions is towards alcohol... The very thought of it makes me feel sick. I am glad because it will make nine months with no glass of wine to enjoy much more doable! I am struggling at work because I am a teacher, so can't just run out of the room or start retching. I am hoping this gets better after trimester one???

I’m 7 weeks and have nausea, extreme tiredness and food aversions. I’ve gone right off tea 🤢 meat and chocolate. I’m eating cereal morning and night sometimes as that’s the only thing i fancy

I’ve had sickness from week 6, sick starts at 5.30am then it can last all day or comes and goes through the day, I totally sympathise with you!! Ive went right off food, there is nothing that tickles my fancy and a feel more like I’m forcing food down me! It can feel really isolating as no one else around can really understand how massively it can affect your every day to day life, I can’t imagine being a teacher and dealing with around 20+ kids with morning sickness so welldone to you!!
I took comfort in the fact that morning sickness is normally sign off a healthy pregnancy, and I get that you won’t feel so healthy right now but when I went to see my baby for the first time on Friday, the nurse said my baby was doing really well and he/she had a lovely Big heartbeat which was the best experience in my life to date!
Hope you feel better xx

I don’t have any intolerances but lived on rice crispies for all of the first and some of the second trimester, my midwife said just eat whatever I could manage and that she lived on crisps for the first 5 months.
So just eat what you can, I’m only just coming round to “normal” foods at 29w Flowers

I'm not averse to any particular food but am finding I feel hungry start to eat then feel full or queasy. Still dreaming about the steak I bought last Friday intending to eat rare, and then took a test I was expecting to be negative, it wasn't and by dates I'm about ten weeks... I know I could (over)cook it well, but it's not the same, I just put it in the freezer for DH to have another time. I've been eating Weetabix with fresh pear for breakfast (sometimes around midday when I stop feeling so sick) it's pretty good.
