Just wanting to know how it all went, or how it's going really! Was diagnosed with poly a few weeks ago, having another scan in a fortnight when I'm 36 weeks to see if it's increased. Baby also measuring 95th centile.

Usually caused by gestational diabetes but I don't have it. Can also indicate problems the the baby, increase risk of preterm labour, prolapsed cord, stillbirth, amongst other things. Sad

Stomach is rock hard and super heavy already, I'm so uncomfortable!

If you've had it, did you have a normal delivery and how did you cope day to day! Feeling very lonely as it's making my last few weeks quite difficult as I'm already struggling with pelvic pain. Many thanks!

I had this in my first pregnancy. I was induced a little early but my labour never really progressed so I did end up having a CS (which was fine and didn’t bother me - I have chosen an elective section this time). My baby was 8lbs 11oz and completely healthy. To be honest, induced labour and massive bump aside, the polyhydramnios was fairly inconsequential for me so I would urge you not to panic. Best of luck x

Yes, I begged for induction on my due date I was so sick of my life.

Delivery normal and quick and no physical problems with him.

The braxton hicks had me in tears though Flowers

I had this with my 3rd dc. I also had gestational diabetes. I was induced on my due date and my waters broken artificially. The midwife pushed the baby's head up while the waters came out. She could also then make sure the cord didn't come down before the head. Baby weighed 9lb 7ozConfused

I had this with my second pregnancy, elcs at 38 weeks, he weighed 9lb 10 Shock. I had two gtt's which were negative, but had gestational diabetes in next pregnancy, was on insulin throughout that one, no polyhdramnious and he was a more sensible 8 lb 5

I had it with my second dc. I made a comment to my midwife that I felt much bigger then I did at that stage then with dc1. I think I was measuring 30wks when I was 24. Scan showed polyhydramnois. Repeat scan 4 weeks later and it had returned to normal levels. No reason for it it seemed. No GD, baby was induced at 37wks due to obstetric cholestasis and weighed a diddy 6lb6oz but was healthy.

Yes i had this. Was very tight and comfortable, and probably the extra weight contributed to the prolapse I had after delivery. In retrospect I should have worn a support belt to help.

But DS1 is by me on the sofa watching PJ masks, all healthy and fine :)

I think I had this. Consultant said to me at about 36 weeks, there is plenty of fluid there - you'll know when your waters break anyway! She also said if it was earlier she'd test for GD, but there was little point at that stage.
She was right - I knew when my waters broke. Got up during the night at 39+2 and there was an almighty gush. Went to the hospital a few hours later on their advice. Was sitting about in the assessment unit waiting to be assessed (to see if it really was my waters!) when I got up to get changed into a gown. A second almighty gush. At that stage the MW said, it's ok, we don't need to check!!! Baby didn't come for over over 24 hrs later but he was a small 7lbs 3 when he did. I had been advised at each scan that he was likely to be a big baby!!!
