I'm 31 weeks and going nappy shopping today( everyone is different I want to be prepared) don't judge
But yes this is my first and was wondering how long they are in size 1 for ? As I have 5 packs of size 1 already and was wondering if I should go buy size 2 today or just some more size 1 as I've been told newborns go through ALOT of nappies

I had size 1 and 2s when mine were born and they went straight to size 2 and I didn’t entertain the idea of size 1s! They just didn’t fit as well (9lb11 and 9lb11.5oz babies). But most babies will fit into them just fine for awhile, but I wouldn’t buy more yet

We were only in size 1 for 3 weeks

In all honesty my DD only really needed size 1 for about a week. She could probably have got away with size 2 but at the time the Lidl size 2 that were available didn’t have wetness indicators and I didn’t trust my sleep deprived self to learn what a wet nappy felt like 😂. She was 8lb 15oz at birth though so not exactly dainty!! I’d get a couple of packs of the size 1 and a couple of the size 2. If you’re reasonably close to a shop you’ll be able to go get more size 1 and the size 2 would do in a pinch if you totally ran out!!

I find it depends on the nappy brand too and they’re all different. I would wait until your baby is here and see which your prefer.

8lb baby, about a week.
