Elective cesarean or breech vaginal with first baby?

As the title, what would you opt for? And what experience (personal or of friends) do you have of each?

I've spent the last few days in hospital as baby was traverse with a risk of cord prolapse if my waters went. Today it seems baby has turn full breech and engaged (on palpation by both midwife and Dr who agree on position).
If a scan tomorrow confirms he's breech and engaged which birth option would you take?

Without a doubt ELCS. My first baby was breech, discovered at 39+2, they tried to turn him which didn't work (regret this and wouldn't do it now) so had elective section immediately. All went well and I had an excellent recovery. I remember when they were running through my options and they said breech delivery was one - I said I don't think that's an option and they said well it might not be an appealing option, but it's an option!

As an aside, wish I'd opted for an ELCS with my second too!! (forceps, not such a great recovery 😬)

I had an ELCS, I would do the same every time if faced with the same options.
