Hi girls I am currently 29+3 days pregnant and every time I shave I've got some awful in grown hairs/bumps and it's got to the point were I am embarrassed to be getting my vagina out so I brought some nads ingrown hair solution to put on and I've brought some new sharp razors and some shave cream any tips on shaving and getting rid of bumps that are already down there? Also is nads ingrown solution safe to use? I've not heard otherwise. What did all you ladies do xx

Let it grow for a week or so, then exfoliate before shaving again. If you start getting them again give it another break.

Yep I'll resist too...

Just stop shaving - you're not going to be able to reach soon anyway...

dementedpixie · 12/05/2018 15:51

Could you leave it to grow rather than keep shaving? Sounds painful. And yes, it's not your vagina you are shaving!

I never shaved or trimmed during pregnancy. I never felt any embarrassment about it, because body hair is normal.
Sorry, I realise that’s probably not very helpful for you! I’m not meaning anything by it. I just think maybe you could not worry about it - you could save yourself the hassle. You’ve got enough on your plate being pregnant.

ILikeMyChickenFried · 12/05/2018 15:55

Well I'm impressed at your commitment doing that at 29 weeks. You don't be able to reach much longer!

I'd just let the hair grow out a bit, you can always keep it trimmed short.

NoParticularPattern · 12/05/2018 15:58

Oh god I couldn’t reach. Well I could reach I just couldn’t see what I was doing and would probably have ended up minus a labia, possibly also a finger. However my go to technique for shaving and not getting ingrown hairs is to shave at 90 degrees to the direction of hair growth. If I shave in any other direction then I get dreadful ingrown hairs.

Can you go for a wax instead? That way you haven't got to try and reach yourself and I get a lot less ingrown hairs with waxing.
