Does anyone have any advice on holidays post baby? Im 20 weeks due sept 25th and its my husbands 40th at the end of Dec I kind of want to do a weekend away or perhaps UK break to celebrate but Im also worried the baby will only be 3 months old.
Do you think its doable to go somewhere with a 3 month old and also (this might sound silly) do some hotels frown upon you turning up with a new baby? from a noise perspective?
This is my first baby so Ive got no idea if its possible but I also want to book now to save money ideally if I do do it

You absolutely can go away, in fact, they are much more transportable at that age (says the person who spent three days dragging a miserable cold 2 year old through the Christmas markets). But I would book an Airbnb, not a hotel. Baby will likely be going to bed before you by then and on a special weekend away, you’ll want some adult time for dinner and conversation in the evenings and somewhere to prepare food as you won’t want to eat out every meal, especially for dinner. So having a room to put baby to sleep in separate to the living and cooking space is key.

I'm due on the 6th October and we have a break to the coast booked on the 6th November. Unless me or baby is unwell the plan is to go! We go every year and love it and book again before we leave. The way I see it is I can do everything I would do at home there but no cleaning, cooking ect plus it's just me and dp and our little boy. It's a very relaxing place and also caters for families. As we are taking the car I'm just taking all our own baby bits with me so we'll be just as comfy as at home. As for people not wanting babies around, they can go to an adult only hotel! Tiny babies make less noise than toddlers imo. I'm taking him to south east Asia at 5 months so I'd not be concerned with England at 3. Just live your life as you normally would, but with your little travel buddy in tow! You'll soon be tied down with school and other commitments so go for it while you can.

My third baby is due at the end of this month. We have booked to fly to Europe (less than two hours)at the end of August for two weeks. We are staying in a self catering house with a garden and an extra bedroom(so one of us can go and get some sleep if baby is bad at night). I think this is much less stressful than staying in a hotel, as you have lots of space and can follow your own schedule.
I agree with the people saying it is much easier to go away with a young baby, than a one year old who is running all over the place and eating food etc. You can do most things with them in a sling. Art galleries, quiet lunches, country walks etc are not easy with young children, so make the most of it.
