Add a smidge if boiling water. That’s what I did with breast milk.

Bigbouncingbaby · 02/05/2018 19:45

Yes I always used a flask ! Makes like loads easier

TroubledLichen · 02/05/2018 19:45

Didn’t bother, used ready made formula when out & about and baby took it at room temperature.

formerbabe · 02/05/2018 19:48

I never bothered. My babies were perfectly happy with room temp bottles.

The TT thermo bags are quite good, milk stays hot for upto 4 hours although realistically it does get quite a bit cooler after two. TT also do a portable bottle warmer if you want to knock up a pre made bottle and then warm it (no longer than four hours from when it was made) but if you want to make it fresh whilst out I used to take a bottle of cool pre boiled water and a flask of boiled water then make up the bottle that way :) if you’re using boiled water ensure it’s fresh boiled water so don’t re boil old kettle water and also don’t make the milk then put it in the flask unless you’re 100% able to sterilise the whole flask properly. Hope that was helpful, but hopefully someone will come along with solid advice :)

And Congratulations! :D

Most cafes will heat the bottle in a flask of water behind the counter for you if you buy a cuppa!

welshweasel · 02/05/2018 19:51

I either made it up fresh with water from a flask or gave room temperature ready made milk.

creamcheeseandlox · 02/05/2018 19:52

This is why I never heated the bottles for my two. Always happy to have room temp so no faffing when out and about for hot water etc.

I didn't warm bottles at home or when out. It's not necessary. If the baby has never had a warm bottle, he or she won't miss it.

Not so. Mine liked her (exclusively) expressed milk hotter than body temperature.
