Oblique lie

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this.

I'm 34 weeks and at the last examination was told the baby was lying obliquely (head nestled into my hip). The midwife assured me that there is plenty of time to shift. I know there is time but DS1 was breech for a good couple of months and never turned despite all of my best efforts. I therefore remain unconvinced! Especially as the baby kicks and wriggles but had been in the same position for weeks.

Various sites say that a baby is likely to turnwhen I go into labour but having had a previous CS I'm not convinced that I will be allowed to get that far. I really don't want another CS. Will they try ECV following a previous CS?

Any experiences appreciated.

might not do EVC due to previous c.s

look at optimal foetal positioning & moxibustion to turn LO....you should be ok to have a trial of labour, and obviously if baby does not turn, you will have a c.s.......the contractions may well turn him!

If the baby doesn' turn I'm hoping to have a trial of labour. I hae just heard about woman being 'invited' to stay in hospital for the last couple of weeks due to the risk of cord prolapse.
