Lack of sickness a bad omen? When did your sickness start?

Hi Ladies, I'm new to the pregnancy posts. It's been really useful and reassuring reading through some of the previous posts, but I thought I'd start my own for answers to this very question.
I'm 6w+2d pregnant, due late December. But so far not a jot of pregnancy sickness/nausea, which is making me anxious that the pregnancy is not progressing as it should.
When did your sickness start? Did anyone have no sickness and then later a miscarriage?

No morning sickness, no nausea the first time and had a bouncing 10lb baby boy.

No morning sickness, very mild nausea the second time and had a bouncing 7.5lb baby girl.

First two pregnancies i had no morning sickness at all. No tiredness, no nausea, no pain...both babies went overdue (4 & 8 days) & were healthy & happy.

Currently on baby number 3 & knew i was pregnant because i was vomming my insides up from the start. 34+5 now, still on meds for nausea 😭 also got the excessive tiredness, the pain & generally feeling like crap. Hold on to no morning sickness, the alternative is wank 😂

I was sick twice during my pregnancy.

Once the morning of my dating scan (probably nerves/excitement).
Once when I cleaned the fridge out and found a mouldy avocado.

Very straightforward pregnancy, 3 month old baby is currently kicking away on his playmat.

According to old wives tales, less sickness means a boy. Not sure how or why they decided that, but lack of sickness itself is nothing to be concerned about! Any symptoms can and do come and go.

mustbemad17 · 02/05/2018 11:41

That old wives tale definitely lucked out for me haha 😂

villageshop · 02/05/2018 11:44

I had no sickness or even nausea with my healthy son, then some nausea (no sickness) with my healthy daughter. X

Bowlofbabelfish · 02/05/2018 11:44

I’m currently on pregnancy number two and have had HG both times. Starting at 3.5 weeks.

Roughly 20% of women get no nausea or vomiting yet have perfectly healthy pregnancies. Most women get some, intermittently and a couple of percent (lucky me) get very sick indeed.

You’re still very early - this isn’t the sign of anything bad. It’s likely you’ll get some, hopefully not terrible

igivein · 02/05/2018 12:24

I had two missed miscarriages, had sickness both times.
I've had one healthy pregnancy, which I didn't know about until I was 12 weeks because I'd had no symptoms.
So for me, no sickness was an indicator of a healthy pregnancy.

lifechangesforever · 02/05/2018 12:34

Not one single instance of sickness, currently 29 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girls

Pebblespony · 02/05/2018 12:37

My mother was hospitalised for sickness for both her pregnancies. I got sick exactly once during mine. No real nausea at all. Had a very straightforward pregnancy.

ILikeMyChickenFried · 02/05/2018 12:39

The only pregnancy I had sickness with I miscarried at 8 weeks.

Even when carrying twins I had no nausea, in fact I had very few symptoms at all.

crazycatbaby · 02/05/2018 12:40

I felt the same around the same time you are now...until 8 ish weeks when I started being sick every evening till around 21 weeks Sad but it stopped after that and at least it was the evening so didn't affect work. Horrid though!

WeareStardustWeareGolden · 02/05/2018 12:40

I had no symptoms in my first pregnancy and had a baby girl. Two years later the same again and I was carrying twins! I was convinced I could not be pregnant and when I discovered it was twins, was astounded. I have never remotely suffered from morning sickness. It really is no indication.

Kintan · 02/05/2018 12:42

I had no sickness at all and a really straightforward pregnancy, so I don’t think lack of sickness is anything to worry about in itself.

TellerTuesday4EVA · 02/05/2018 12:47

I didn't have any sickness or feeling nauseous at all OP

Grumpos · 02/05/2018 18:04

No sickness here at all! 23 weeks and hoping it stays this way.
Brushing my teeth before eating breakfast is always a little bit icky but as for proper morning sickness or nausea- nope!
Hopefully you’ll be lucky and dodge it!

grannycab · 02/05/2018 18:20

No sickness here either!

SVRT19674 · 02/05/2018 19:31

Never had sickness, 23 weeks pregnant now. 30% of women are in the same boat. If your system is tolerant of rising hormone levels, just embrace and rejoice.

mascaraisamust · 02/05/2018 20:49

Another with no sickness whatsoever. 13 weeks now, had my scan and all was good. Wasn’t with my first either really, maybe a few times. Maybe it runs in the genes as my mum was never sick with us either!

Racmactac · 02/05/2018 20:50

I've had 3 babies. No sickness at all with any of them until I went into labour with the last one

hammeringinmyhead · 02/05/2018 20:54

I have been sick once, when I opened the dishwasher and it stank of ketchup. I'm almost 12 weeks.

Ickyockycocky · 02/05/2018 20:55

I had three big healthy baby boys and not a single day of sickness.

CrumbliestFlakiest · 02/05/2018 20:57

I had no sickness or even nausea whatsoever. No heartburn. I had a really easy pregnancy, and a healthy son born at 38 weeks.

Mousefunky · 02/05/2018 20:58

I didn’t have any nausea with my two DD’s, they are 5 and 6 and very healthy.

SomeOtherDay · 02/05/2018 21:00

I had no sickness or nausea with either of mine. Both straightforward pregnancies and births and two healthy babies.

NotBurpeesAgain · 02/05/2018 21:24

I have been horribly sick round the clock for all my pregnancies, from week 3 or 4. I have had 3 healthy babies but lost DC4 at 18 weeks. I was not less sick.
I am 7 weeks pregnant with DC5 and I have lost over 20lb so far, but it does not reassure me. Enjoy your sickness-free pregnancy!
