Induction on Monday

Being induced on Monday at 37 weeks + 1 because I’m diabetic and had reduced movements for a couple of weeks. I was examined on Tuesday and told that my cervix is favourable and I am 1cm dilated. I know they say induction can be a long process but realistically how long did it take others until things got underway and you had your little one? I’m hoping it won’t take long but it probably will knowing my luck! Please send me your stories I’d be so grateful!

I was induced at 37+4 for pre eclampsia.

Wasn't favourable at all, midwife could barely even find my cervix.

Pessary went in at 10amish, he was born at just before 7:30am. Started labouring properly early hours of the morning after twinges all day. Recorded labour time down as 1hr 15min! Surprising after over 24 hours with DS1.

Best advice is walk, walk and when you feel like your fanny might fall off walk some more!

I was induced on my due date because he was a supposedly big baby ( he was 7.9😂)
Had the pessary inserted at 6pm and was contracting by 9pm:)
Make sure you make a fuss when you start contacting my midwife ignored me on the ward and I then got ( forgot the name very long word !) contractions every minute I was in labour :/ ended in a c section because of them and him being stressed but ! Make sure your heard I'm quite shy around medical professionals so this time I'm going to be extra persistent !!

Hope you have a easy as can be delivery 💙❤️

I was induced bang on 37 week already 2cm dilated, I went in around half 9 in the morning had my dd at 11:05 that evening. Its really good you're already starting to dilate it should hopefully mean it'll be quicker for you. Wishing you and the little one all the best!
