Aww don’t worry it feels horrific at the time but mine ended just before the births of my children so good luck!

i know how you feel except i am actually throwing up, sometimes multiple times a day. it is horrendous. I can't remember a single day over the last 6 weeks that i haven't been sick

Unfortunately i've tried every wives tale going, and the medicated route and nothing has worked.

Nothing to advise really, just i hope it gets better for you and like i tell myself, it'll be worth it in the end

You need meds. Get down to the GP. I've had sickness all through (I'm 32 weeks now) and without ondansetron I'd have given up.

Missaj1993 · 27/04/2018 08:12

I have to eat as soon as I wake up to stop me from being sick got up this morning and I've lost another lb and feel sick as per it's really getting me down now :(

Hiya hon firstly congratulations on your pregnancy!

Secondly I'm so sorry you've got the crap end of the deal. I had severe pregnancy sickness and vomited after every meal until I (very reluctantly) started taking anti sickness tablets at 24 weeks. I really didn't want to take anything but couldn't afford to take any more time off work and weighed about 7 stone! The tablets I took stopped the nausea completely but I was still sick in the morning and if I didn't eat in time during the day. By then though I was just used to it and had worked out what I could eat safely and was starting to gain a bit of weight. Baby was absolutely fine the whole way through.

You should be coming to the end of the worst now, but if you aren't then
my advice is simply to be prepared. I never went anywhere without a lunchbox filled with crackers, white bread and ready salted crisps, my make up bag, compact mirror and make up wipes, water, and a bucket. Make sure you are definitely taking the pregnacare vitamins.

I hope yours eases off like normal peoples! And, although you probably want to punch everyone in the face who says this, it really is worth it in the end!

Sounds like mine. I was sick first thing every day from before I even missed period and felt sick most of the day. I think that’s just normal early pregnancy I’m afraid. It’s rough and really gets you down. I had to eat constantly to ease it. Watermelon, fruits, Oatcakes were my lifesavers. And anything sugary! Mine eased off massively at 16 weeks.

Gennz18 · 27/04/2018 08:42

It is not normal to be this sick and there are effective meds that will help you manage it. Get to your GP and ask for some ondansetron - I've been on it since 6 weeks (now 31+2) and I don't know how I would have coped without it.

Don't suffer unnecessarily.

Sometimes I'm still sick in the morning or nauseous/heaving throughout the day but the meds make it manageable.

Grandmaswagsbag · 27/04/2018 09:05

I was Under the impression that you only needed to be medicated if you can’t keep water/food down or are getting dangerously underweight? I’ve been sick up to three times a day and nauseous with both my pregnancy’s until about 16 weeks (as have lots of women I know) and the midwives didn’t bat an eyelid. The response is its normal, healthy pregnancy symptoms?!

Gennz18 · 27/04/2018 09:18

Not sure there's a hard and fast rule Grandma In my experience the health system seems prepared to let pregnant women suffer quite a bit unless they are virtually on death's door.

I vomited every day in my first pregnancy. I wasn't dangerously underweight or dehydrated but I feel like shit for most of it. This time round I was adamant I was not going to go through that again and my GP was happy to prescribe meds.

It's like SPD (which I also had 🙄). First time round I was told it was normal pregnancy aches and pains - even when I ended up crippled by week 37. This time round I've been proactive about Physio, Pilates, belts etc and am in much better shape.

Alicatz66 · 27/04/2018 09:28

Yuk .. poor you .. my kids are grown up now but I was sick every day multiple times till about 16 weeks ... it was horrible !!! Carbs every hour was all that helped ... none of my business but I wouldn't take medication .. and you will soon have your baby and forget!!!

nomi88 · 27/04/2018 09:33

@Grandmaswagsbag @Gennz18 my midwife didn't mention anything about medication to me even after I had been hospitalised for dehydration and given an injection in my thigh to stop the sickness in hospital. I had to make an appointment with my GP and ask. She (after having written sick note after sick note for me!) put me on cyclizine. I couldn't have coped without medication either! Although like I said it didn't stop my sickness completely but it did stop the nauseous feeling which I thought was actually worse than the vomiting itself.

Missaj1993 · 30/04/2018 08:53

I have felt better the last 2 days but it's still bad when I'm hungry fingers crossed it's going now 14 weeks in
