28 weeks.. period pain and back ache

I'm 28+5 and have been getting what feels like period cramps. Some are stronger than others and I also have slight back ache. I felt extremely dizzy yesterday and keep feeling slightly 'off'. I was wondering if any of you lovely ladies have had this and if it's normal? I'm trying to hold off ringing midwife incase I'm just wasting their time! FTM and have no clue what I should be expecting! X

You need to ring them back right away. And say what you've said here. Pains getting worse and reduced movement. No way should you wait till tomorrow.

Definitely ring them back. Say the pain is increasing despite paracetamol and you really want to be seen for reassurance.

Yes everything was fine in my case thank you OP. They couldn't have been kinder to me in EPAU so I am sure you will find the same today. Hope everything is fine for you. Keep us updated if you can.

I'm a FTM too, I'd call. They might not offer much of you're not bleeding though, I had this... bad back period like pains and sharp pain on one side.

I was advised to have a warm bath or shower, take some paracetamol and rest.

If it got worse or I bled to call again and go from there the shower helped as did pain killers and I took a hot drink and rest up for a while... I felt better after that....

Also felt less panic after I spoke to midwife, they're always ready to help xx

Popsjjx · 22/04/2018 18:17

I have just read about them rushing you off, call again. Don't let them fob you. They deal with this everyday, so sometimes I think they need reminding that you need the extra reassurance x

SirVixofVixHall · 22/04/2018 18:22

So glad all ok. Very good you did get checked out.

TinyTerror1 · 22/04/2018 19:12

Excellent, glad you're ok. Hope the infection clears up soon xx
