Yes they are! Which is great as I think they’d have been the one thing I would have truly missed if not allowed. I’ve been merrily eating them throughout my pregnancy.

Yes! Lion stamped are fine to have runny :) check the NHS website if you're unsure about anything foodie.

Check NHS and ignore everything else. That way madness lies.

Particularly relevant with eggs as few other countries have vaccination programmes for laying hens, so advice (sensibly) differs.

...I’m now craving a fried egg sandwich!

Yes, definitely trust NHS on this. Lots of the online advice (and also that found in popular apps like Ovia) is US, and their eggs are still much higher risk, so they still advise against runny eggs, but that's irrelevant to women eating UK Lion stamped eggs.

UK lion stamped ones are okay as far as I'm aware. I've been eating tonnes of eggs with runny yolks during my pregnancy Grin not sure I could have given them up...

I read that so have been eating loads. My midwife then told me it was a massive no no. So now I am really confused. There is so much conflicting advice but from what I have read myself...I reckon runny, Lion stamped eggs are fine. She also told me not to dye my hair for the whole 9 months which also seems a bit outsated compared to information online....but now I am too scared to do either!

Hopehope it's not that long since the advice changed, maybe your midwife didn't get the memo?! In my last pregnancy 3 yrs ago Nhs advice was no but gratefully it's now changed. Even if it hadn't I'd decided I would allow myself runny ones this preg as the risk seemed small.
