I'm 40+1 and I've noticed I've had discharge that's like a consistency of toilet paper?! It's defiantly not toilet paper and only small bits. What on earth is this?!

Mucus plug?

FallenAngel89 · 14/04/2018 11:27

I would also think plug 😊

Pinkbedsheets · 14/04/2018 11:27

I don’t know. I never had this whole pregnant, although I’m sure someone will come around with some knowlegde. Are you 100% sure it’s not just left over toliet paper? Or the mucus plug ? Thrush? BV?Call your pregnancy unit if you’re concerned.

TheLionQueen1 · 14/04/2018 11:28

Sounds like it could be your mucus plug like pp said, is it clear or slightly discoloured?

strawberrysparkle · 14/04/2018 11:28

My first thought was it's just toilet paper but I really don't think it is. It's like a creamy white colour. I hope it's mucus plug I'm ready for baby now!

Thanks everyone :)

Could it be thrush? Do you have any other symptoms?

I was constantly looking for my mucus plug every time I wiped in the run up to my due date but when I eventually passed it in labour there was no mistaking what it was.

ILikeMyChickenFried · 14/04/2018 11:32

Sounds thrushy?

My mucus plug was a lot more, well mucusy.

Pinkvoid · 14/04/2018 14:02

Mucus plug is literally like mucus. It’s thick and usually green/yellow in colour (sometimes has streaks of blood in it). It’s pretty gross actually... your discharge sounds a little like a yeast infection to me.
