Bleeding at 15 weeks

Just looking for a hand hold

Had some light bleeding yesterday around 4pm. Called triage who said to rest and call back if it became heavy or turned bright red. It was brownish/pink. Woke up this morning and had a lot more of pink coloured discharge. Called triage and have spent the day being checked over.

Dr said she could see blood loss from my cervix but good news is my neck of the womb is closed. Ultrasound showed very active baby and no blood clots or reason for the bleed. I've been sent home and told to rest. Dr said to give it till Monday to see if bleeding stops or go straight in if it gets worse. Unfortunately she has no idea why this happened and could be just one of these things.

I am reassured by the scan but I've never had bleeding this far in a pregnancy before (this is DC3). Has anyone experienced this before?

My friend had this after every time she had sex during pregnancy. I’m sorry you have had this worry.

I had a cervical erosion during both pregnancies and I occasionally bled.

Show I had a cervical erosion years ago. I mentioned this to the dr but she said it was unlikely.

And sex is the last thing I want. Every time I get pregnant I seem to go off it so can def rule that out lol

Thank you for replying. I got a fright when I seen the blood and although the Dr was very thorough I guess I thought I would get answers as to why. Think I need to relax knowing that baby was really active and healthy on the ultrasound.

Cervical erosion is a really common reason for pregnancy bleeding, particularly later on in the pregnancy.

Oh hey, sayingvthe word relax us easier than doing so. I understand why you are worried, blood is always alarming. But what you need to focus on is the good scan with a wriggling baby! X

I had very similar. Major bleed at 14 weeks was told due to low lying placenta
