Hi Ladies

Last night around 6pm my little girl started moving frantically. It lasted for about 10/15 minutes. I have never felt her move like that.

Since then (last 18 hours or so), she has moved - but the movements have been very subtle /soft.

Has anyone else experienced this - should I be worried?

Thanks so much

OP, I’m so relieved to read this, I have a little tear in my eye! I was trying to tread the fine line between making the seriousness clear and not scaring you half to death.

I work with women who’ve been through the maternity service locally, and have met several mums who’ve had still births following a period of frenzied foetal movement, so your initial post really worried me. I am so relieved to hear all is well.

If you have any more concerns between now and then, please go back. As I’m sure you’ve seen, they always want you to go in when this happens.

Brilliant news! All the best with the rest of your pregnancy.

@tammyswansontwo frenzied movement is a new one one me! Is that prolonged frenzied movement or a couple of particularly crazy wriggles as I get quite a lot of the latter and am wondering if I should mention it to my midwife

I think all babies have their crazy party moments! I think the concern is more about a sustained period of unusual increased activity, especially if followed by decreased movements. I’d definitely ask your midwife or have a look at the Every Kick Counts site. Basically, every baby is different so they recommend you to try get familiar with their pattern and give the hospital a call if the movement is different to their normal

Thank you, I’ll take a look! Flowers
