Don’t get me wrong, I find the movement very reassuring... but is it just me who also finds it all just a bit...

I don’t remember feeling so strongly about it last time but honestly, I feel like I imagine the lady in Alien did, just before that fateful moment of gore!

I feel the same, I barely felt movement with my first but this one doesn't stop rolling, kicking, poking, hiccups, like you say it's reassuring but I find it rather uncomfortable

I’ll be sitting with someone and it happens and I kind of involuntarily shudder, then have to style it out like it’s lovely. People in RL don’t tend to accept anything other than a glowing excited mum-to-be.

Alien the film must have scarred so many women (that were probably way under the age certificate of the film at the time- I certainly was). (Total other thread about relaxed parental attitudes concerning tweens and shit scary films ).

I can’t say kicking creeped me out. I did get a bit fed up of it. But I definitely thought of Sigourney daily.

I haven't really felt much yet but just wanted to add that when me and OH were looking at pictures of 'your developing baby' at 5-7 ish weeks we totally thought it looked like a facehugger and not at all cute Grin

Stealing a line from Coupling, I regularly described myself as being "in the John Hurt way".
