I've seen a couple and can't decide between 'Pregnancy for Men: The expectant dad's guide to the whole 9 months ' by Mark Woods or 'The Expectant Dad's Handbook: All you need to know about pregnancy, birth and beyond' by Dean Beaumont.

Or if anyone has any other recommendations?

There's a Dummies Guide!

@Mamamallow Pregnancy for men by Mark Woods went down v well with my husband, he said it was much easier and more fun to read than most books ( I actually thought it was better than my book having read some!) He now enjoys telling me little facts he's learnt, and reassuring me if I have a symptom he's read about. It really helped him to be more understanding I'd def get it again / recommend it

There is a brilliant App available for the phone called Daddy Up.

For guys, written by guys and is very informed and very funny as guys need that.

Available on both Apple and Android and covers all parts of baby, conception and labour.

Has a section to add maternity emergency numbers, due date calender and "panic mode" which includes contraction timer and direct call to triage or Mw number.

Well worth it

This is supposed to be good and is written by a male midwife as opposed to a bloke with some opinions.

DH bought the dummies guide to pregnancy but he barely picked it up. Too long I think and by the time he had a chance to read it I was already in the second trimester.

He also bought Commando Dad which he read cover to cover. I think it appealed as it's quite practical.

I got my husband the expectant dads handbook and he really enjoyed it said it was very informative without dragging on and easy to read in fact hes not a reader and he finished it in a very short space of time!!

Bought my OH the Expectant Dad's Handbook and he feels there isn't enough information about actual pregnancy in it so he's been reading mine! It seems to have a bit about labour and birth and loads of stuff about preparing for after but nothing for now (I'm 14 wks).
