I have managed to get tickets to see my favourite band, who don't come to London very much, and I'm delighted! But... I'll be 34 weeks pregnant on the day of the gig - would it be a bad idea to go? Will loud noise upset the baby?

i saw motorhead and went to download in 2005. ds1 was born in july!
i also saw bryan adams and marilyn manson whilst preggers with ds2 last year.

they moved a bit to start with then settled off to sleep. i think the droning made them sleep!
i didnt jump around of course! just swayed, yes at rock concerts, with huge pintglasses of water!

GO.
Baby will love all the vibration and noise!
DS spent many hours in womb with me patting my bump in time to noisy music.
Like MrsBadger, went to many smaller but noist gigs, throughout pregnancy. Find a space at the back to the side so you are out of the main 'action', and can lean on walls if if you get achey feet/bump/back.
Went to a festival about a week before my due date/ Didn't camp as lived nearby an dhad to get back for the dogs, but if it weren't for the dogs would have camped.
Nevergot bumped/pushed or squashed, most people very sensitive, spot pregnant gig-goer and give sufficiently wide berth. I mean, you have common sense enough not to dive headlong into the moshpit - right?

noisy

Go, but lurk near the back where you can sit on the floor if necessary. That zone seems to be largely occupied by pregnant women doing the same thing anyway.

Did Nick Cave at about 30 weeks & DD must have loved it, danced about in my tummy for ages. I leant on a pillar when I got tired but I think you can ask ahead & if there's space most places will give you a seat at the disabled areas. Just be sensible & enjoy it before you get all caught up in the poo/milky sick.
