I’ve had my bp checked and no protein in urine so hopefully ruling pre eclampsia out, but I’m struggling to get about because of my swollen feet!

I’m very grateful that this has only just started, but I’m making sure I’m hydrated, keeping them up, going for short walks...

I’m not complaining for vanity reasons but I don’t fit in my shoes and I would love to be a bit more active

Any tips?

I like to wear support socks or flight socks as I hate puffy ankles.

Feet up as much as possible.

Alternating cold and warm shower on your legs can help; mostly the cold (or cool at first!) it helps to encourage the veins etc to contract a bit more.

Thank you, I’ll give that a go. Feel like the socks or tights won’t go anywhere near them at the mo haha but I will try!

I suffered from swollen feet in both of my two previous pregnancies. I've no advice really other than drink lots. I got a foot rest thing for under my desk at work-don't know if it worked though. I also had to buy new, wide-fitting trainers, and had permission to wear them to work (usually a formal workplace). Not attractive!

I had this too- I found that soaking them in a cool washing up bowl of water a couple times a day helped. Also elevate the with a pillow when you lie down in bed or are on sofa.

You have to raise your legs above your heart I think, as much as you can. But still keeping active as you are doing. Feet straight up after. Skechers Relaxed Fit were a godsend to me and if you get ones with laces, you can tighten them up once your feet go back to normal.

Keep you feet elevated anytime that you are sitting or lying, even in bed try to have pillows under feet to have them higher than the rest of you. You can also try cold flannels on them once elevated to see if this helps.
